A few interesting observations:

1. Kaemen Marley is listed as a DB
2. William Mohan is listed as a LB
3. Bryson Eason is listed as a 290 pound LB (I’m assuming they haven’t updated his position yet)
4. Will Albright is listed as a LS
5. Juilian Nixon is listed as a TE
Interesting indeed

Yep. They came to agreement on everything but final details and verbiage a while back. It's hard to contractualize reno particulars like budget and scheduling when you don't have approved final drawings. It's going to take months to finalize all that-- and both parties were in accord on the intricacies involved. UT has enough issues without the media trying to manufacture drama over a process that completely lacked it.

Don't think it was really much of his choice though. He was here 5 years and sacrificed his body week after week, playing with broken hand/wrist whatever. And many here said he was a VFL for what he did, despite the level of play...it was his dedication and sacrifice.

He easily could have left years earlier, but chose to stick it out through some crappy situations. In the end it seemed Pruitt put him out to pasture. It's not like he chose it. Don't think his VFL card should be stripped because of that.
Okay, all of this is so true I can agree to make a one time exception for him. But I wasn't really talking so much about him but in how people consider someone who played here a VFL even if they transfer and play somewhere else afterwards.

1. Think that was expected
2. Considered an Edge guy, and they list those as LBs on the roster
3. Also considered an Edge guy from my understanding.
4. He is a LS.
5. Also expected.

IIRC, McNeil was recruited to play DL.

Noticed that about Turnage. Maybe the number he wanted is taken? Who knows?
Pruitt recruited him for the OL. Ellarbe immediately landed Crawford…so dominos.

Mohan will play the Viper, which is similar to the Star but employed more as a pass rusher.

The idea of JG in the NFL makes me laugh. :)

Honestly though, I bear him no ill will. He frustrated the hell out of me, but it's not like he played bad intentionally. And it was the coaches who continued to throw him out there. I feel bad that he and his family had to deal with death threats from the crazier part of our fanbase.
😂 That thought never crossed my mind. I keep trying to make rules for the order of things with mass transfers, and y'all just want to talk about JG.

I don't consider Jalen Hurd a VFL.

Sexton: We want a big pile of money for coaches and major stadium renos. And make Tony one of the highest paid coaches in baseball.

UT: OK.

Sexton: Tony knows what he wants. He drew it up for you. You guys walked through it with him. We want to provide a great environment and a great fan experience and we want to get started. And we want it in the contract.

UT: OK. Let's figure it out and draw it up.

Both sides roll up sleeves.

Over a good Mexican food meal? Is that what makes it a Mexican Standoff?

Me neither but not because he left with eligibility remaining…but because he quit in the middle of a game! Did not benefit him in any way. When Darrin Kirkland contemplated transferring there was a lot of noise about him not being a VFL. The dude GRADUATED! It brought to mind when Vinny Testaverde had his number retired at the U. Jimmy Johnson was asked why Testaverde (who hadn’t graduated) over Bernie Kosar (who won a NC and graduated early before entering the supplemental draft). Jimmy said “because he finished his time here.” True story.

So we do have some standards?😂
For some odd reason, some people still refer to him as a VFL. He literally quit on his team in the middle of a game. I don't blame him for leaving and getting away from Butch, but he quit on his teammates midgame. You don't do that.

Was just commenting on the quitting midgame. That still burns me to think about.

So I took my dog to the vet this morning to get groomed, pampered, and get all his booster shots. Sitting here waiting on them to text me to come pick him up, worried out of my mind, because the last time I took a pet to the vet was last month when my cat died. I know it's senseless worrying, and that things will be fine, but I can't seem to make my brain realize that.

It was garbage. My wife immediately disliked him when I introduced her to Vol fandom. I’d ask her why and she would simply say that he was the total opposite of Dobbs…all about me.
