This. There are a ton of teams within those barriers that could've been added.Personally, I don't think the SEC should have expanded west of the Mississippi, nor should we go anymore north than Kentucky. But the argument has always been expand into major money markets. I always thought we should have stuck with southeastern teams.
who the hell cares about tradition if you’re losing 8 games a year? I don’t get it. The people that say we’d look weaker by moving to the ACC- this is the same school that hired a loser coach from Louisiana f***ing Tech, a car salesman that rode the coattails of Brian Kelly, and a gump who doesn’t know what asparagus is. But THAT is what would make us look weak? Look at it this way. It’ll never happen, but if this super conference things begins to really take off and come to fruition, the ACC, the Big 10, whoever is gonna come calling trying to keep theirs alive. If they offer us satisfactory money, it would make sense. We’d win way more games in that conference, and ultimately that would cure all.

Other than Oklahoma, does Texas actually have any other big rivalries in the Big 12? I'm guessing Oklahoma's only other big rival would be Oklahoma State?
Also just an opinion, but if OU and TX actually join which it sounds like they are, the SEC needs a name change. Its no longer southern or Eastern. Just go with something location neutral like super 14 or add two more and call it the Sweet 16, but the history and pageantry of the SEC needs to be preserved
Exactly, we’ve gripped about Clemsons easy schedule for years and now want to join them? I’m outSo Tennessee, why did you move to the ACC?
Well, to be honest, we were just too damn scared of the competition in the SEC and felt like we couldn't hang, so we ran away like a bunch of cowards. Looks like we'll have to change from orange to just pure yellow.
Eff that.
