Someone started the discussion comparing Butch's 2013 team to this year's team. I've been keeping track of the roster since that year and looking at things like Average 247 Composite rating by position, total blue chip players, and overall roster construction. I have included the Average 247 composite table below just to show where this team stands in terms of talent (based on recruiting rankings). Here are my takeaways:

1. This team is less talented that any of Pruitt's teams, but the 2020 team was the most talented and we see how that worked out.
2. There is more talent that Butch's first two years, but is on par with 2017, which was the only time we have every lost 8 games in a season.
3. Most of the individual position units are on the low end except for DB's, which surprised me.
4. I forgot how little talent the 2013 team had.

I know it'll be hard for some of you but Mr Smokin (my dawg hubby) broke (shattered) his kneecap and had surgery to repair it. He’s going into week 3 of PT…positive thoughts, prayers are appreciated. (For him and for me!)

Ugh. Understand all too well. Prayers for healing for him with patience and sleep for you.

Big shout out for the assist from Doc. He really helped my wife's confidence with his comments when she fractured her knee (tibia) while needing screws and a bone graft a couple months back. Proud of her. She's starting light weight bearing gait work next week after two months of non weight bearing. The bone is healing really well. The key has been the grinding with the PT. It usually pays big dividends to do what the professionals say to do.

Just want to say that Xander Schaufele played his ass off and made two huge putts. Very happy for him.

That was really special for him to settle down and take it when it mattered most. He jumped over a big hurdle in his career today. Happy for his entire family with all of the Olympic and Japan connections.

Overuse is a big issue. Rockers velo dropped a lot from his freshman year, and he threw a ton in Omaha at the end of the year. TBH he probably needed to sit the last 2-3 months if not have some kind of surgery

You don’t sit if you don’t have pain…. The mri showed some concerns in the elbow but not enough to require surgery….. tommy John surgery if it comes to that is no big deal nowadays…..The Mets are being cheap idiots….. Scott boras is rockers agent and they have said that they will go back to college and make money with the nil before they allow the Mets to decrease the bonus that they agreed too…. My Dodgers took a dominant vandy pitcher a few years back that dropped bc of elbow concerns and he had tommy John surgery shortly after the draft…. He is now a World Series champion and one of the most dominant pitchers I. Baseball…. Walker Beuhler.

Have you ever heard of Carter Stewart? People thought Atlanta was being cheap when they didnt wanna pay him either, you know where he is? In Japan and cant stay healthy because of said issue. Just because things worked out for one, doesnt mean it will for another.

Are you sure about that? Carter Stewart turned down the Braves weak offer and went to juco so he could go pro the following year…..in juco he dominated with 1.73 era….. he chose to skip the mlb draft and go to Japan to play professionally for 7 million dollars….. he struggled his first year with a 4.62 era but has been pretty dominant this year with a 5-0 record with a 2.22 era and hopes to sign a free agent contract with mlb in the near future.

Yes, hes only throw 121 innings over the course of 2 years, that isnt even a full seasons worth. Also in his last assignment with his current club, in 4 games he threw 5 innings.

With nothing to do we watched the Sports Source today. Did you know that Tennessee football is dead, they hatred the expansion and it will kill Vol football, that ever since the SEC expanded and the money grew for each school UT got worse because more teams had bigger/better stadiums, the best we can hope for this season is 6-6 if everything goes well because the team wasn't good in the recent past, they have no depth because 37 guys left, and so on? Also found out we should be a bit upset because Keon went at #21 instead of top ten.
