We know, and can guarantee, that we will take steps on offense, specifically QB, and at DL. That alone is enough to propel us to much better than we were last year.
There’s a pulse we haven’t had in forever. I’d have traded for it the last 3 previous seasons. Anybody here (being honest) have fun?

The mood I'm in atm, it might be best.

We all have problems in life. I've talked about my own battles with BPD, depression, and anxiety on VN before. I'm not an "expert", but just like others, I have personal experiences as well. I'd rather show compassion than add to another person's woes.

Sorry, I haven't found my laughter yet this morning. Maybe I should log off until I do.
Blessings brother.

No. I'm 38, single, and no kids. I lease the XC60 through my business. Can't beat it for the money. I got the Inscription with the massage seats and everything. I've owned over 40 vehicles in my life and none have been more fun to drive on a daily basis. My family is a big BMW family but I'm changing them over 😉
Nice!

We have elite speed at every skill position. We have an elite offensive mind calling the plays getting those guys the ball. If we get above average QB play and he can get the ball to those weapons, good luck stopping it. And it just so happens our coach is one of the best QB developers in all of football.

I'm ready.

Me too..

Also, really been impressed with Halzle’s interviews. Has been an understudy of Heupel for 10 years now....second as sole QB coach. These guys just seem light years ahead of Weinke/Chaney in terms of expectations, teaching and smarts, to be honest.

Against air. If he’s the best at getting the ball into weapons hands in scrimmages and games, I have no quarrel. But talent in angles and hitting in stride don’t manifest themselves in what we’ve seen or been told is being seen by others.

Apparently Milton doesn’t have an issue doing those things. Granted that’s in limited viewership. Biggest issue was his touch and he was using it today.

Again, the scrimmages will divulge who the starter is especially with the two back to back. I think after the second one a starter will be named and we will be begin to roll from there. Gives the starter roughly a week and a half before the first game.

You haven't done your homework. Butch had a worse roster and played at Oregon his first year. Also played 5 other top 11 teams, and that doesn't include UF. Mizzou was better then, Auburn was better than Ole Miss, USC was better then (although he won). Not all schedules are created equal. This is set up to win at least 6 and more like 7 or possibly 8.

If Heupel wins 8 with this roster then give him a 10 year contract.

This whole conversation started because of the Simone Biles situation. This is a young lady who was molested over a period of years by the USA Gymnastics team doctor. If you don't believe all of those girls have some kind of mental trauma because of that, then I'm not sure what to tell you. I'm fairly sure those girls are scarred for life. Maybe, just maybe, Biles thought she could handle the Olympics, but once she got there, found out she couldn't? Whatever the case, I'll give her the benefit of the doubt given what she's been through.
It doesn’t matter….. I do feel sorry for her and the people that allowed it to go on deserves their a$$ kicked….it’s not the traumatic event that happened….. it’s how you respond to it….. a lot of people who think they are being compassionate…. Help the person to dwell on what happened instead of being strong and moving forward…. As for the olympics….. once you decide to compete in the olympics….. you open yourself up to praise and criticism…. She failed in this moment and deserved to be criticized….. There are NO excuses.

i feel like ive watched spring and fall camp footage for a few years now and its more or less all the same, but i've seen a few drills i've never seen before this year. yesterday, the RBs starting from a prone position and having to explode up and out and the OL foot agility drills are a couple that i don't remember seeing previously. its interesting seeing this staff's philosophy manifest itself differently like that.

Feel ya, but I’ve seen them from the previous practices. I imagine all the fun stuff happens when the reporters leave.

DONATION UPDATE:

Ok, so we are trying to find anyone who donated to ABBA accidentally. The church has sent an email to ABBA donators from Sunday. To give privacy, I will give the first two letters of first and last names of those individuals. If you think it might have been you, please reply to the email.

If we average 35-38 points per game, which I think is doable with JH’s resume. What would you say our record should be?

You have identified the key component to the # of wins. Defense. With the scheme and talent level on O and the type system Heup runs the 35+ points per game average is a given IMO. So it will be about D for the W's. Given that I think they win all OOC games plus Vandy, USCe, and Ky with Mizzou and Ole Miss in the winnable column. UF will be the upset pick. The D will be better. The O will be better. The schedule is easier. Team chemistry is better. HC decisions will be better. Which is why I have said 7-5 to 9-3. The later is dependent on key player injuries being manageable.

I think the ceiling of our short term future is being a really live dog against any ranked team (sans Bama). I'll be satisfied if we see an offense that's putting points on the board, guys that work their butts off to play up to their competition, and the ability to develop players. Any team that scores 35+ in an average game can make things interesting.
