Our QB GAVE them 21 points and the team gave up at the half. I also think this is the game where cornbread fired our D line coach (?) on the sidelines in the middle of the game... my high school could have beaten the Vols that day. Yes, KY is a lot better than in the past, and we unfortunately cannot take them for granted anymore, but we will beat them this season...

It's especially strange that the VQ staff constantly speaks to how much we have upgraded this coaching staff at basically every position, and then still say we're going to struggle to become bowl eligible. I don't believe that. If we get QB play, which Heupel always does, we won't do worse than 7-5, but I'd put it more at 8-4 to 9-3. The schedule is just really favorable.

I agree, but I think everyone still has PTSD from cornbread and is under the "fool me once" way of thinking until they see it for their own eyes on the field.

Sounds to me like the coaches are anonymously negatively recruiting with those statements.

Yep. Frankly, they had cases of blatant cheating by LSU in hoops. UNC was committing academic fraud and not a damned thing came of those cases. UT purged their athletic department. They lost the best players on the roster. It's killed our recruiting. We've had an enormous number of transfers out. I'd say that's enough punishment. Far more than LSU and UNC suffered. I'd tell the NCAA to f*&^ off and move on with trying to rebuild our program from rock bottom. If they make an issue of it, I'd put those attorneys UT pays a lot of money for to work and take their butts to court.

How is Burrell doing? Maybe missed it, but haven't heard much about him. Remember him making waves his FR camps.

Yeah I remember him having a lot of potential and hype. Guess he was injured some in the Spring and sort of got lost in minds. Would be great if he takes over RB1 and balls out. Seems like he has all the skills.
