Maurer can go sell himself wherever - IDC. Too much personal drama. He has not done himself any favors with the social media play. The program is about team/family now. Best man for each job for the betterment of the team.

I don’t hate Mauer. I try not to even be annoyed by him. Clearly a young man who battles demons mentally, and lacks maturity as a young man.

If Maurer is actually leaving, makes bringing in Milton even bigger. Have to keep competition in that room, one of the biggest failures of the previous two staffs was not having enough competition in the QB room.

If Milton wasn't here, he probably wouldn't be leaving because he'd still have a shot.

I think Milton has forced HH and HB to step up their games, but BM couldn't do it.

Ahh i can hear the media now. They've been hammering the narratve of guys leaving. I'm sure they'll act like we just lost the Heisman favorite like there's not still 3 really talented QBs in that room. More talent in there than we have had in a while.

Good. Soft players need to be shown the door. It’s character building. Put up or shut up or leave. We don’t need quitters on this team who run away when things get tough.

Maurer isn't seeing the bigger picture or the opportunity he has here. He's only seeing the "me" and "right now" point of view. That's not good for a teammate or leader. He trained to play, he wants to, I dont blame him for being let-down or irritated. He needs to grow-up some and look at options that give him the best opportunity for future personal success.

In the bigger picture, he could learn from Heupel and Halzle, and train to be a coach. His future is probably not a pro player, but he could adjust his attitude and goals and become a heckuva coach.

Imo anyway.
