i feel for the guy. i feel for any guy who went through the clusterf*ck that was the pruitt era. he was a good teammate anyway--he was always pumping JG and other guys up on the sidelines. looked like he had good energy most of the time. seems most are criticizing him for living what seems to be a very normal 18-19 year-old's life, just his is constantly under the microscope by media and forums full of grown men because he's a quarterback at a major university. i dunno, i wish him the best.
Someone on VN said last year (not sure if they claimed to know BM or not) that the reason he hadn't transferred was because, more or less, he was OK with being a backup. He would rather walk around campus at a big football school as a backup and get the attention that comes with that than start at, say, Western Kentucky.

So mental health is only taken seriously if you're a star athlete? Got it.

I'm sure I've heard this dilemma addressed before; about how players that are a potential to not make the roster will cover up or ignore injuries because if they addressed them they would likely not make the roster. I'm sure that's fantastic for Jalen Hurd's mental health. "Ignore your mental health issues because we can just cut you."
People have to suspend their personal problems to do what must be done all the time.

To think you can always just pause reality to deal with your problems is just fantasy land. Every single person who has lived through even minor challenging times can tell you an example of when that was not an option.

Athletes can do whatever they want to do. But I do not care for how we've flipped the table and now deferring your responsibilities to focus on yourself is admirable, and gutting it out despite very real and legitimate reasons not to is somehow an insult to those who are unable or unwilling to do that.

Totally agree he was a good teammate, and he has to do what is best for him. But he is constantly putting himself under the microscope of media and forums of grown men with his very public social media messages. Because he is a QB at a major university, he can't afford to act like a normal 18-19 yo especially since he's probably older by now and should have grown out of that. Just sad he's not had someone to guide him along.

Just being devils advocate, but maybe he had something personal to do?!
The IG post does make it hard not to speculate tho!
Hate it for him, has moxy, just not the talent needed for UT!

DONATION UPDATE:

Ok, so we are trying to find anyone who donated to ABBA accidentally. The church has sent an email to ABBA donators from Sunday. To give privacy, I will give the first two letters of first and last names of those individuals. If you think it might have been you, please reply to the email.

Jo Mo
Ki Ki
Jo Ka (we’ve already spoken in email)
Br Sh

Thanks mates!
Nick
Just to be clear, I never received an email from ABBA or anyone, other than the original email I received after contribution. It specifically said the contribution was made to you, but after reading your post again, sounds like it went to ABBA.
Thanks

@Weezer wants to know if you can just refer to him as Ki Ki from here on out?

Who do you think the second line is?

Good question. Just guessing...

LT D. Davis
LG K. Harris
C Lampley
RG C. Akporoghene/Robinson
RT RJ Perry

I think that Davis could slide to the right side if need be. Need Jeremiah Crawford to provide some depth at one of the tackle spots. Not sure whether William Parker is a T or G?

Maurer isn't seeing the bigger picture or the opportunity he has here. He's only seeing the "me" and "right now" point of view. That's not good for a teammate or leader. He trained to play, he wants to, I dont blame him for being let-down or irritated. He needs to grow-up some and look at options that give him the best opportunity for future personal success.

In the bigger picture, he could learn from Heupel and Halzle, and train to be a coach. His future is probably not a pro player, but he could adjust his attitude and goals and become a heckuva coach.

Imo anyway.
Or he could stay and learn from them and become a better QB and go to a different school next year and ball out….

Not donating to ABBA. They made plenty of money in the 70s with their crappy music.

It’s so funny to see who we pick and choose to **** on when they transfer.

It’s embarrassing. So our 4th string QB is upset about his current position? There’s no need to bash him for it. Even if he transfers, be respectful, especially to a guy who has known emotional struggles.
