If Bailey is truly third on the depth chart, it's just extremely hard to believe he doesn't hit the portal after the season IMO. Heupel would really have to sell him hard on the possibility of being the guy next year, and I don't think blowing smoke up a player's ass is his coaching style. Again, JMO.
If Harrison Bailey, the 4th-highest Georgia high school passing yard holder (next to Deshaun Watson/Jake Fromm/Trevor Lawrence) is our THIRD string QB, we are in a good place. That's how I read this. I hope he stays, but I'm not worried if he leaves. I am especially comforted about the situation given our HC's experience as a QB and developing QBs.
Preface: I think HB might end up being a great QB here
BUT, fact is: Like 90% of his passing yards can probably be attributed to having BALLERS catching his passes, namely: Arik Gilbert, Ramel Keyton, and Ricky White so really the HS stats don't tell the whole story

I think we all need to remember that any good coach is going to come in and try and find the players that can fit his system and if none of those players are available then you tweek the system to fit the players you have. Maybe just maybe HB doesn't have the quick release, foot speed and or arm strength to do what is required to run the full system or maybe he hasn't been coached up to be his best, who knows but I feel confident that they are going to put in who has the best chance to execute what they want to do, hopefully without the drama we have become so accustom to.

Roethlisberger is the starter….. Rudolph is 2nd…. Haskins is 3rd but may over take Rudolph….. Dobbs will be cut with the hope of signing him to the practice squad….. Go Steelers!

Lifelong Steelers fan here. Still should think Dobbs should be the starter. I've seen nothing out of Rudolph and Haskins that gives me any confidence that they're the answer after Ben hangs it up.

How much will we miss Gray and Chandler?

Not as much as most fans and other outside observers might think. I like Gray and I think he’s going to have a good year at Oklahoma, but talent-wise I don’t know that he’s as far ahead of Tennessee’s remaining RBs as a lot of people might think.

Gray would’ve been a nice fit for this offense. But I think Jabari Small is, too, and I think Tiyon Evans has a chance to be really good, so I believe the Vols will be OK.

Been saying that. Gray is good, but he's good in how versatile he is. He isn't really an every down back. We're just fine, and I would argue better, at RB with what we have now over him and Chandler. Chandler was not good at all

These ridiculous over-reactions have got to stop. Fans need to send a financial message for ownership and execs to stop caving into the small, but loud crazies in the marketplace. Boycott these decisions or something. It's sad.
Too many companies make too many decisions based upon twitter that does not represent the every day American. Twitter is not real life.

TN would have won 9-10 games in 2019 if not for JG. TN would have won at least 6 games last year, if not for JG, maybe more than that. What does that UGA game look like if we had a QB?

We aren't as far off as people think.

JG handed KY 21 freakin points and gump fired a coach on the sidelines during the game... add that one to the W column as well with a normal staff and QB

I was just looking at UT's top recruits (4* and 5*) over the last 20 years or so and so many names never made a dent. I would say less than 25% were what we expected and hoped for, 50% played and contributed eventually and many of those not up to their recruiting hype and at least 25% were total waste of a scholarship. All those stars have not translated into ball players not just at UT but all over the country......ain't no star system for heart and work ethic which in the end is what really counts. A 3* kid that works will become a good or even great player, a 4* or 5* kid that works can become a legend and a 4* and 5* kid that thinks they can make it on what talent they have alone can become a problem. They can coach technique but they can't coach want to.
