Subject AtlantaVol -I may have missed this news but I had been checking for new posts by him every now and then since Heupel was hired. Today it appears his moniker is no longer listed. Did he officially quit Volnation? His last post had come just a few days before Heupel was hired when he was proclaiming Danny White as almost godlike in his talents as an AD.

Watching miltons games against Indiana and Michigan state brought me back down to reality a bit.. I know his hand was jacked up, but I didn’t think his pocket presence and decision making were very good at times.. he muscled his way into the end zone a couple times and had a few other nice runs, but he in no way reminded me of Cam Newton. A few of his throws were amazing, throwing off balance and what not, but just as many were JGish.. I didn’t watch the whole season, and his supporting cast didn’t help him out much, but it helped temper my expectations. I’d recommend watching them

I don’t disagree with this assessment. I thought he zeroed in on his target many times and tried to force the ball into crowded areas with his arm strength. That said, he looks like a natural moving and throwing on the run, and his intangibles seem very very good. If Heupel is the QB wizard that we’ve been sold on, I think the ceiling is incredibly high for what Milton could become over the next 2-3 years. I’m beyond excited to see him in live game action in 2 weeks.

He is still here.

Preface: I think HB might end up being a great QB here
BUT, fact is: Like 90% of his passing yards can probably be attributed to having BALLERS catching his passes, namely: Arik Gilbert, Ramel Keyton, and Ricky White so really the HS stats don't tell the whole story
I just don't get the logic of this. Great WRs makes a QB look good, but they're not great WRs because they had a great QB throwing to them? I watched a few of those HS games. AG dropped a lot of really good passes. Have AG, RW, and RK made QBs look great during college yet? Maybe they helped each other and will succeed in college if they pair up with other great players.

Used to be you didn't want a freshman starting the first year and not the next year if you didn't have to. HB has time to develop.

The WR/TE has more to say about YAC. I don't think AG has the best hands, but he was formidable after the catch, and that absolutely did factor into HB's numbers. That said, it's a synergy, and attributing the success to either half exclusively is wrong.

I am all for an Auburn like miracle this season, but won't be satisfied unless we get the "double natty" with a NC next season as well.
