Nobody should give up on HB and I hope he becomes the absolute best that his talent allows him to become…. That being said…… no one should look at a players High School stats and use it to determine the type of player he will be in college…. It’s two entirely different games played at two entirely different speeds.
Bailey was being talked about since he was in 8th grade due to camp performances because his physical talent stood out in those environments. Obviously his arm didn't develop into a cannon from 8th grade to now, but he's got enough arm strength to be considered a potential NFL guy. I don't get the thought going around this board that Bailey isn't that physically talented. Not saying you're making that statement, but it has been implied by many other posters. Compared to Milton (who has physical freak level talent), he isn't as big, fast, or rocket-armed...but almost no other QBs are.

What I see out of Bailey is that he seems to stay level headed, can work through his progressions, and make accurate throws when bullets are flying. The offense just seemed to have a little more life with him back there last season...and that was a no-win situation as a freshman. Maybe he's inconsistent in practice still, but I think he's shown a ton of potential in live action. He absolutely tossed a couple of dimes down the field in the spring game...so he's not limited to short passes like some think. Speaking of the spring game, I rewatched it recently and one of his scoring drives was with the second team offense against the first team defense and he still looked great. I could see him putting up a ton of passing yards in this offense.

I'm hoping Milton is everything we all hope he is...but I think the coaches probably are confident that they can put up a lot of points with Bailey and Hooker as well.

Yeah its crazy to look at HS stats, on a College recruiting site. Esp one who excelled in one of best divisions in HS, was highly ranked, and won State Title.

Winner's win.
Yeah….. why don’t we fill our roster full of maryville High school and Alcoa kids? How about Danny Wuerffel’s college stats when it comes to evaluating him for the NFL? Obviously you want someone who was a good player at the lower level but it means little on whether or not he can perform at the next level.

I think we are very lucky to have the three QBs that we have bc all of them can win in this offense….. My honest assessment of Bailey…

1. Very accurate on short and intermediate throws
2. Good at running the offense
3. I don’t think he can accurately make all the throws or run all the plays that Heup wants to run…. He narrowed the playbook some with some of the QBs at UCF and would probably have to do so with Bailey
4. We can win with Bailey and he may prove to be the best of the three.
5. Right now, he has earned third on the depth chart but may move up when the lights come on against BG.

Seymour should thank me for the reverse jinx. They beat GP 14-13 in OT.
The end of the game was nuts. The refs. . . really, it was just the final extra point kick by Seymour. They got to try it 3 times. Once they said a roughing the kicker, but never saw the kicker get touched. They also said a kick was no good, but it obviously was. Still scratching my head on what happened on those final ep plays.

Bailey may have been surrounded by phenomenal athletes at Marietta but you can definitely see in his practice clips and last year that he’s extremely accurate, more so than the other two….But I get why he is not the guy for this offense though. He can not throw across or down the field the way Milton does.
Neither could Gabriel...and yet he did pretty well.

I was more just wondering what you might’ve heard at the conference! I’ve read good things about PRP for carpal tunnel. The steroid shots can be degenerative over time. I had one about a year ago and I don’t like how things have been. 6 months of “like new” and then noticing my left wrist might never truly be 100% again. PRP and stem cells are supposed to be anti-inflammatory yet regenerative. Just sounds way better than the steroid shots. I’ve got some good wrist guards for sleep. Will start taking my vitamins more consistently. 😅
I fractured my back when I was 23. Got all those shots and they did nothing for me. Best thing is probably lots and lots of mobility work/stretching. I also had gnarly plantar fasciitis after the fracture as well. I had PRP into my heel and it made it 95% better. Only did once and it still holds up 7 years later.

I didn’t see the roughing call either…. That’s ridiculous

The first flag was for roughing the longsnapper. GP kid bulldozed him, and the two flags were right on the spot.

Falss start on the second kick. Backed up and rekicked.

Tennessee softball coach fights COVID-19

Many of y’all in the Knox area may have seen this on the news. This is close family, Johnathan is a awesome man and father to two young kids. He was hospitalized with covid pneumonia fighting for his life at 30 years old. He has seen some slow improvements over the last couple of days. God willing with continued prayer he makes it through this. But the family will have an enormous medical burden. He’s a VFL in need and just wanted to share to VN.

Team Jonathan, organized by Kelley Griffith
