I think he was running with either 1’s or 2’s today.

Whoever the “starters” are in this offense isn’t really important IMO.

VQ said the other day we should be very close. Not the biggest deal either way. Just means they don't have to wear masks inside. Any unvaxxed guys will go through testing protocol regardless. Hopefully we just get er done so we don't even have to worry about all that.

He's a slot guy right? If it's true Hyatt can't beat press on the outside, he'd eat up a lot of snaps at slot (though there will be plenty of rotation regardless). That's a guy I'd have a hard time taking off the field. Even if he isn't being thrown to, he instantly stretches the defense vertically.

I'm also sure we'll some 4 wide sets to get them both out there together potentially.

It would make it much easier for teams to overcome lots of attrition.

No (well not exclusively). Payton can play outside and in the slot. He’s not just a slot guy. I’d expect he’ll start on the outside opposite Velus with Hyatt in the slot.

Watching 5 QBs rollout and 5 wrs all catching balls is wild looking. Maybe that could be a new sport. We'll be #1 easily starting out since CJH innovated the game of Hypeball.

Big picture - Saban is gonna have a field day cutting kids and with more space available, the number of transfers might become even worse. Increasing demand will exacerbate the transfer cycle.

Little picture - This should help rebuilding teams quite a bit. Can't complain right now. This is good for us.

I definitely think it will help teams flip rosters and CATCH the top teams more than it will help the top teams who are already loaded. Exponential growth vs incremental

1. The first penalty was roughing the snapper not the kicker. The snapper gets protection in a scrimmage kick formation and you can clearly see him get blown up right as he snaps it. The signal by the referee is the same, the announcer just didn’t know.
2. The second kick did go through the uprights but the play was blown dead because of a false start on the offense. The official under the upright was just signaling that the play never happened.

I was just going by what a poster saw and saw a minuscule clip of the play that I could tell the kicker hadn’t been hit….. I coach a lot of youth related sports….officials need to grow a backbone and quit being so fragile.

Tony Basilio just said there's concerns at WR, coaches don't love that room. They have speed but that's about it. Velus Jones has a hammy issue. Hyatt can't play on the outside because he can't beat press coverage. RB is going to be solid. Defense won't be as bad as you'd think. DBs could be surprisingly good
