Should have never been a 25 limit, 28-30 limit makes way more sense. Screw Houston Nutt for causing this rule back in the dayBig picture - Saban is gonna have a field day cutting kids and with more space available, the number of transfers might become even worse. Increasing demand will exacerbate the transfer cycle.
Little picture - This should help rebuilding teams quite a bit. Can't complain right now. This is good for us.
And I'm not sure Saban and Bama doesn't do that already, just disguised as a different name or process. AK comes to (my limited) mind.Big picture - Saban is gonna have a field day cutting kids and with more space available, the number of transfers might become even worse. They certainly have. Players have came out and talked about it. But it only gave them space on the 85 too. Now they can go pick up the best from the portal immediately. They have no reason not to "cut" their worst 10 players a year and feed off the portal. Might even use it just to try and take the best players from rivals, to make them weaker. And I'm not sure Saban and Bama doesn't do that already, just disguised as a different name or process. if it helps, we in the fly fishing world have already embraced the hornets. (not my tie btw ), this is waaay above my skill level.probably like with all of these type pests you wait until dark
AND STRIKE WITH EVERYTHING YOU GOT !!
Bembry was gitshirted by the previous staff.Went to OurLads to see where UK's 6 burglars were on the depth chart (3 projected to be 2nd stringers, other 3 third string fwiw). But while on there I noticed some familiar names:
Marquez Bembry
Octavious Oxendine
Tre'vonn Rybka
None are even starting for...UK. Who the heck were the last 2 staff going after? Benchwarmers for Kentucky? Geez...great evaluations. Oh yeah, I forgot, each of the last 2 staffs basically led the country in offers. Weren't they sending out something like 500+ a year? It was crazy whatever it was. Basically the complete opposite of Clemson, who might be the best evaluators out there.
