The overall strength of the SEC just is too stout. I’m sorry but every single SEC program out there is stronger or at worst equal to where they were in our glory days and obviously we are way worse

This is the biggest pile of commonly believed manure in college sports. The BCS shattered the narrative that SEC wasn't good at football -- computers eliminated reporter bias and SEC teams were given a shot and climbed the rankings -- long before BAMA got good again. Conversely, the SEC is not good because of BAMA's run. BAMA is the only thing that has changed between back then and now. The main difference between then and now is two teams instead of only one were consistently good (Tennessee and Florida) while the others rotated between good years and bad years. At present, you could say UGA, Alabama, and LSU but that hasn't been constant -- only Alabama has been constant while just like back then others have cycled between good and bad seasons with typically two or 3 (Arkansas emerged as a third during a certain year back then but they weren't the only ones) as a contender. The other major difference is we're in a slump but we don't make the East any more than Bama makes the entire SEC.

Finally, even if we accepted the false narrative that the SEC was bad at football back then - our schedule was not. Tennessee always scheduled top teams including the year we won the title.

Name the programs that are worse now than they were in the 90s?

Names the programs that’s are better than in the 90s??

I’ll help

Worse: Tennessee, florida

Better: Georgia, bama, lsu, ole miss, Kentucky,

Add in A&M and mizzu it’s very clear the sec is way better and deeper than before.

I went with a high end Yamaha receiver with Klipsch in wall speakers and a subwoofer. Very happy with it. Yamaha had less distortion and more clarity, which sounds better to me. My system has 8-9 years on it tho - there may be better options now.

If you have the space and are willing to do a bit of work, a decent home theater receiver from Denon, Yamaha, or Sony + separate speakers is a great investment. These days, they all have features out the wazzu, including music services and whatnot if you are into that. I have a Yamaha receiver and the phone app/remote is surprisingly good.

Receivers depreciate quickly. If you find an older model that works, you should be able to pick it up for less than half price. Accessories 4 Less was the website to use a few years ago, but that may have changed.

LSU (48 vs 79)
Missouri (39 vs 59)
South Carolina (39 vs 60)
Vanderbilt (30 vs 42)

Worse:
Tennessee (81 vs 50)
Florida (82 vs 63)
A&M (76 vs 64)
Ole Miss (58 vs 47)

Same:
Auburn (64 vs 66)
Mississippi St (56 vs 60)
Kentucky (39 vs 46)

My 9 year old baseball team was named the "Crackers."
Probably wouldn't fly now.
Back in the early 2000's, Frisco high school was called the Ratcoons. They shortened the name and put it on the town water tower for everyone to see. By the way, they didn't put Rats on the water tower :):). It's no longer on the water tower

But trash pandas isn't that offensive. Is it?

Off topic but I dislocated my shoulder sunday, but it’s back in place now. Any suggestions on treating for recovery? Or should I go to the doctor? I know some of you in here have PT experience. Any help is appreciated

It needs to settle down. Then physical therapy to strengthen the shoulder girdle muscles.

If it happens again, see a shoulder orthopedist as you could have a labral tear.

Hopefully that helps.

Was definitely trying not to go to doctor so curious if anybody had suggestions for the natural route if there even is any
No medication or herbal remedies.
Go to therapy and strengthen all the muscles of the shoulder to protect it.

If it happens more than once, need an MRI. Rule out a big labral tear.

SEC football: Every team's biggest game-changer in 2021
TENNESSEE - JALIN HYATT, WR
A true freshman in 2020, Hyatt was a bright spot in a Tennessee offense that often struggled. In 10 games with one start, the 6-foot, 175-pounder from South Carolina totaled 20 catches for 276 yards and two touchdowns. Among SEC freshmen, Hyatt ranked sixth in receiving yards and third in yards per catch (13.8), and of his 20 catches, six were for more than 20 yards, three were for more than 30 yards and 10 went for first downs.
“What I want to do, just as my freshman year, it was more just go routes and stuff like that,” Hyatt said. “I want to show what I can do and be diverse. With the offense that Heup brought in, I feel like I can do that. I’m just ready to show and prove to all y’all that I can just be a different player, I can catch the ball and get in space and just do a lot of different things. I’m glad he’s here.”

From UCF but here's some insight into Coach Schmidt's strength and conditioning program.

Interested in the backstory of Heupel and Schmidt’s relationship. How young coaches get “their guys” and where did it begin. UCF has a pretty damn good video production crew! Wonder if we poached any of them? And their nutrition boss…Fancher?

One thing I really want to see this year is our QBs hitting our WRs in stride. We have the speed to house slant routes if our QBs can hit our dudes in stride. Nothing frustrated me more about JG than people/coaches saying he “throws a good deep ball” when he literally never hit a single man in stride. Calloway doesn’t score on the first play vs UGA if JG throws that ball. Things like that make the difference between touchdowns and redzone field goals. 9pts vs 21pts

Ugh I hate you all. I appreciate your feedback. The lady is pushing me to go to doctor but I’m stubborn

Depending on where you live, can go to therapy without a physician order. If it doesn’t get better, then you need to be seen. On mobile, so I don’t see locations…

“Many Irish-Americans are not offended, but many are,” Kellerman said in a Wall Street Journal article. “Should that also change? The answer is yes. Unequivocally yes. Pernicious, negative stereotypes of marginalized people that offend, even some among them, should be changed.”

So now being Irish makes you part of an oppressed group? That would be news to a lot of people in the halls of academia and media outlets.
