I was watching the Hummingbirds around the feeders and have come to the conclusion that if Hummingbirds were the size of crows they would rule the world.

Tennessee has yet to declare the investigation closed or self-impose penalties.

That time is coming soon. Tennessee has paid the law firm Bond, Schoeneck & King more than $750,000 for its work on the investigation from November to June, but no interviews have taken place since early July, a person familiar with the investigation told The Athletic. Now, Tennessee is preparing a final report to submit to the NCAA.

The investigation mostly focused on current players and recruitable prospects being given illegal benefits, as well as some illegal visits during the COVID-19 recruiting dead period shutdown across the sport, a second person familiar with the investigation told The Athletic.

When Tennessee finalizes the report from the investigation, it will submit it to the NCAA. Most likely, Tennessee will announce self-imposed sanctions when it does so.

Tennessee loosely plans to announce self-imposed sanctions before the season begins, the first source said, but it may wait if the administration cannot agree on sanctions or if it wants to wait and see how the NCAA, on less solid ground than ever, looks as the sands in college sports continue to shift.

“When the NCAA recognizes an institution is going to take an issue seriously and dedicate resources, both financially and in man power, to get to the bottom of it, the NCAA will definitely give more leash to that university to conduct that investigation,” the first source said

Self-imposing would be ludicrous at this point. NCAA is weaker than its ever been. You tell the NCAA to either give us a slap on the wrist or eat sh*t.

There is something different about the feel around this year and I can't put my finger on it. I'm not a gloom and doom guy or a sunshine pumper but something has changed for the better on The Hill. It seems the players are being talked to, taught and coached and not talked at, belittled and put in positions they couldn't win on a constant basis.

They must have your meds regulated because that's a very astute observation
