Haynes King attempted 4 passes last year with 1 TD and 1 INT, how does that translate to one of the best QBs in the country this year? Media personalities seem to go great lengths to talk about Tennessee.
Michael Bratton is a vol grad and MAJOR homer. Also writes for...SDS...lol.

If you announce a starter now and change your mind for the Pitt game, you've benched your starter.

If you don't announce and change your mind for the Pitt game, you're just dealing with a fluid competition.

This is the only reason I can think of to not announce. Putting an end to the speculation in the media, but more importantly within the team, seems like what should happen to me.

I firmly believe they haven’t announced a starter to prevent attrition in the QB room. If you announce too early, at least one of the QBs is gonna be upset and hit the portal, then you’re an injury away from being in a really, really bad spot. But there’s a clear QB1.

Some mastermind of a man somewhere convinced women that wearing ultra revealing clothing is an expression of their empowerment and freedom. Men are sitting here like, ".....ya,they should be able to wear booty shorts all the time.....
Yeah….. it was also a man that invented yoga pants/ skin tight leggings that women wear every where….. I did see one huge fail with yoga pants…. Guy at the gym doing squats while wearing them.

Team knows who it is. When you play sports as long as those kids have, you know THE GUY is. They know. All college coaches are goofy. Provides no real advantage over the competition. Think that stuff is overrated.

They said before camp started they wanted to keep it quiet until the first game if that was even possible here. Just how they prefer to do it.

That’s reasonable and I fully admit may be correct BUT we weren’t able to hire a good coach in fact we hired a worse one AND butch had won at the highest level our program had in a decade so maybe he had earned the right to fix those glaring undeniable issues. Like Brian Kelly did after his one awful year at ND where he clearly had the same kind is issues
The problem with Butch wasn't just the x's and o's. The locker room was split into several factions. The foxes were running the hen house. It was not salvageable imo. I know where we were and the difficulty in hiring a new coach, but we could have hired a coach with experience. The Pruitt hire was never going to work. Coach Fulmer, who I supported then hired a prodigy. Someone he hoped he could mold. It was a huge mistake. There were other coaches with tons more experience than Pruitt. The problems went even higher than Fulmer when it came to disfunction. We were never going to land an established, successful power 5 coach but we could have hired an established winner at a step down from that.

I don't know how much of a problem that will be moving forward. Obviously Maurer did it, but (maybe I'm completely wrong here) in the past if a guy transferred he had to sit exactly 365 days right? So it behooved a player to transfer earlier rather than later.

But with the new transfer system there's a defined cutoff. So if a guy doesn't start Game 1, the incentive is to stick around. Maybe the guy ahead gets hurt or benched and you get your chance. If not, you can still transfer and be eligible immediately.
