anybody remember Rowan and Martin laugh in TV show? part of the show had a schtick that said "sock it to me"...Arte Johnson I think....anyway, I wore a t-shirt to school that said sock it to me around a raised fist....got sent home

Yeah but he isn’t physical which is his biggest issue. They aren’t going to put him at TE if he can’t block man. You have to understand that.

True but they’re are lots of college “TE” his size that aren’t blockers. They have other guys for that. Pitts is 6’6 238 and Beckwith is 6’5 227. I don’t recall Pitts being known for his blocking but they found a way you use him in the passing game. Not saying he is as good as Pitts but he could be used to get mismatches in the passing game.

I'm sure they do. But public vote of confidence goes a long way in helping Milton take ownership of the team and more of a leadership role. That's JMO. I'm sure it's probably inconsequential either way.

Maybe they feel like they aren't announcing any other starters, why should QB be different. They might just quietly name the starter when they release the depth chart.

But they said before camp that they would like to have the starter named with two weeks to go and to be able to keep it quite if that was possible at Tennessee. Whoever is going to be able to take ownership in those two weeks.
