So Joe Milton is Josh Heupel’s first QB1 at Tennessee? Time to go prove skeptics (myself included) wrong

This guy is not a fan of our starting QB. Some interesting facts however...

It’s like people have no knowledge of what Heup has done with QB’s. Show me a bad one he’s coached

That’s where I am. It was an afterthought for me when Nebraska hired him, but somewhere in my love of college football, I wanted him to succeed. Probably because I remember when Nebraska was dominant and even beat us.

I recall those beat downs on the Gators. That was nice….

(P.s. I’m not an SEC homer that cheers for sec teams in bowls. I hope they all lose every game they play)

Update on my brother, they’ve moved him out of ICU and isolation to a regular room. He’s on less oxygen daily. Thanks you for all the prayers that was sent up. Go Vols

I re-watched some of Milton's play again this morning. Just something I hadn't really noticed... They had receivers in the same area damn near every play.

Receivers run the wrong route sometimes and it happens, but they had guys side by side all the time it felt like.

That system is an improvement over that crap from 2004 they were running before, but I think it still had a lot of problems for Milton to overcome early in the year.

They also never mention his torn ligaments in his throwing hand which apparently happened some time in game number 2…..He tried to tough it out and play through it and has received nothing but criticism…. I’m not positive he will be a stud but it’s seems completely short sighted to not take all of those variables into consideration when judging a player.

I wouldn't be surprised if Milton is the best QB in the league this year. I also wouldn't be surprised if he makes a few mistakes and HB is inserted and he becomes a top QB in this league. But make no mistake, we will have good QB play. Heupel has never had bad QB play. It isn't going to start now.

Would like to see shades of the 2000 matchup between Tennessee and Louisiana Monroe Thursday night. That final score was 70-3 Vols. I believe we see something very similar against Bowling Green. Also believe the team rushing total will be close to 250 yards. Possibility more.

That is awesome! Sadly though..the mid thirties couple I had spoke of a few weeks ago didn't turn out good, the wife completely recovered relatively quickly, but the husband, a boy I had known since birth...passed away Friday.
