There it is.. Milton has the most upside, Hooker is one and done, and HB could possibly be here the next five years if all things pan out.. Our next QB competition could be for the 2026 seasonOn the QBs-- none of them have been as consistent as hoped and all of them have things to work on. It's a long season and nobody has proven anything on gameday... yet. Somebody had to be the guy... and somebody is. But two others are right there, expecting to contribute.
Who were the DBs when he was in the game? I thought somebody on here said that he got to throw against walk-ons.Serious question, why did Bailey look so good stretching the field in the O&W game yet apparently can't hit water if he fell out of a boat down the field in practice. I rewatched it last night, he threw 4-5 DIMES in the spring game
I mean that wasn't an opinion, that was just a fact. The argument can't be made that HB was never given a chance over Milton when HB had an entire month around the staff before anyone here even knew who Milton was.Believe what you want. I’m not here to convince you. I’m just telling you what has been said to someone I know who talks to many in the program.
Only 3% of people with epilepsy have photosensitive epilepsy. Those people can take medication that takes care of this completely and also like you said, yes they could close their eyes.Legit question out of ignorance. Can you not just close your eyes and put your head down too keep from having a seizure?
The problem is none of the QBs wowed the coaches and so they chose the highest upside guy and the guy they brought in to be QB1. They always planned on him being the guy. If someone else had stepped up and killed it, then they may have reassessed. But the plan all along when Milton got here was for him to be the starter.I mean that wasn't an opinion, that was just a fact. If not ESPN, then the sports group that scheduled the game has liability.ESPN didn't force anyone to play. Nor did they organize the event. They merely broadcast it. Don't see how they could have liability.
There is so much unknown with this team. I think Pitt is the measuring stick. If we come out and beat them soundly, then we probably have a better team than we realized and 7-8 wins is most likely. If we get blown out, then taper that down to 4-5 wins. If a narrow game then 6-7 winsWhat is your revised season prediction if we blow out Pitt next week and Joe looks like a superstar doing it?
Your assumption that there wasn't a QB competition is pure speculation. Do you really think Heupel would be so blinded by Milton's tape and physique that he would ignore HB if HB were really tearing it up out there? Feels like you're pushing a conspiracy theory on here. Just enjoy the game Thursday. You are assuming that we had a QB competition. Let me tell you, we didn’t. The day Milton showed up, he was QB1. Heup groomed him all camp. Yes, he spent time with others but he really pushed Milton to be the starter. Milton has an NFL and size and he is mobile. So I am sure JH thinks he can develop him to be a star. I hope he does and we are all successful. But to say that he watched all QBs and determined who was the best just a week ago is nonsense.
I agree with that….. I feel that he wanted Joe to be the QB bc he has the potential to make us great…. That being said the other two had the chance to prove they deserved it and neither one proved they were better than Joe…. Anyways….. the choice has been made….. I hope and pray that Heup is so good that he corrects Miltons faults and he lights up the SEC….. Go Vols! You are assuming that we had a QB competition. Let me tell you, we didn’t. If UT only wins 4 games, time to shut the program down. There is so much unknown with this team. I think Pitt is the measuring stick. Prayers extended glocker.RF, my mom needs you prayers. She was hospitalized yesterday with COVID. On a vent. She got sick 2 days after getting her first vaccination. She is my hero for all she sacrificed in raising me as a single parent. I am headed back on E-leave tomorrow from SW Asia. I pray she can see, hug and kiss her grandchildren again. My girls are what she lives for. She hasn't seen them in almost 3 mo.
Milton's faults may have been Harbaugh and an injured thumb.I agree with that….. I feel that he wanted Joe to be the QB bc he has the potential to make us great….
