Wow, my Sophmore year of Hs about 8 years ago, our algebra teacher used to make jokes about how many red pens he would go through to grade our tests. He also had no problems putting 40's on our papers.

Teachers have been told not to use red pens anymore also. You know, they can really see all those red marks.

For you peeps that don't flow education there is a movement to eliminate grades because they're racist. AAs have a higher chance of failing than non AAs, this grades are racist and must be gotten rid of. No this is not a joke it's really happening

It's pathetic. Mine are out now but no way would I have my kids in public schools now. If you have to give up cable, cigarettes, beer, cell phone, whatever, put your kids in private school. Public schools are going to be a cesspool. It will not prepare your kid for college. Colleges, at least good colleges, will look differently at high school diplomas from public schools.

He never wouldve survived. He loved to tell us it looked like he was bleeding all over the paper every time he graded our tests.

If schools were held accountable for ROI/satisfaction/effectiveness/etc other businesses generally are, the system would be dramatically different. It's really remarkable what they can get away with.
