Yeah, not a fan of the timing...you can finish the season and be available in these last 4 games just in case and likely still get the RS granted without any issue.

Also ESD isn't until December so if the plan is to get in the portal before then you'd still be able to do that. I'm assuming he'll still be enrolled in classes to finish out this semester so it just seems like a weird time to do it.

That Notre Dame vs. Michigan in Ann Arbor would do killer ratings. Also, Ohio St. vs. Kentucky would be intriguing.
My goodness, Georgia has the easiest path imaginable. They are going to make the playoffs. I hope they lose to Bama so that Bama makes it because that is the only team likely able to beat them. Oh how I hate me some Bulldogs.

more importantly, does Heup add a second HS QB to this class with HB moving out?

Hooker
Milton
Transfer
Jackson
'22 QB
i'm thinking Milton may be gone too. So i'd be surprised if they don't look for another transfer opportunity, and maybe add a 2nd one to the class.

Saw the article on Hendon Hooker and if he comes back, honestly if the kid can get drafted, I hope he leaves. I know it’s nice having something sure as a program, however, if Milton can just get out of his own head he is a beast of a QB and with Tayven coming in he needs a redshirt year.

Just my opinion but if Hendo can be drafted he needs to go. No need in staying another year.

Any other program besides UT in the past 5-10 years recruited two 5 star QB prospects (by some rankings) and have neither one turn out like they were projected to?

Wonder if any of the guys on roster that were also HS QBs may have the chance to move groups.

Calloway, Holiday, & Beckwith come to mind. Holiday would seem the best candidate of those 3 and his HS numbers as a DT QB are pretty good. Plus a QB with that sort of speed would be scary, he could even sit behind Hooker or Milton next year if both return and are healthy.

I get why he's leaving. He should wait until the season is over. Leaving now makes him look like a quitter. I am not saying he is one. Seriously, why not just wait until the season is over?

He was an early enrollee as a freshman. He can probably transfer during the semester and still have enough credit hours. So if he finds the school he wants to go to, he can probably transfer before the end of the season. Which would put him ahead of the game with whatever team he goes to.
