We did the same thing with Bobby back in the day...I gave up on MLB in the early aughts, but I used to be one of those kids that bought the paper just to get all the stats...I hate that money ruined MLB for me.

Hard to believe how good this bullpen has become. Let’s go Braves!!!

They are about to be tested big time. The next 2 games will decide the series IMO, as they will both have to be bullpen games for the Braves. If they can win one of the 2, then they win the series. I would try to go with a 2 pitcher combo each night with a goal to get 3 innings out of each. I would send out Chavez and Smiley tonight, as they have the most experience compared to the other 2. Tomorrow night would be Wright/Davidson, if we win tonight. Lose tonight, then you probably start Wright tomorrow night and pull him if you see any sign of adversity.

Snit is awful at over managing.

I’ve given him as hard of a time as any, but I’ll give him props right now…he’s managing his butt off, if you look at all the adversity this team has faced all season and post-season. I question the decision a little about pulling Anderson, but they won, so it’s hard to question it now. Anderson threw 76 pitches and only 39 were strikes. He was having a hard time finding the strike zone. Snit was probably worried their offense would be able to hone in on him the 3rd time through.

How long ago was the steroid shot? I have found that the steroid Depo-Medrol works better as it lasts longer than others so can weaken the little scar band adhesions. Forgot to mention that earlier. Sorry.

Yes the aggressive therapist is your key to success. Ultrasound helps a bunch too.

How long ago was your steroid shot? If over 3 months, then get another with Depo-Medrol…and ask for the Russian. Remember, pain is just weakness leaving your body.

Wow, can’t believe y’all use Depo in the medical field. Great steroid for low motion joints. Definitely works a lot longer than triamcinolone or betamethasone. I don’t use it in high motion joints unless the joint is destroyed and I don’t have any other option, since it does have deleterious effects on cartilage over time.

Yeah it’s going to be that way for at least a few years. Once the portal rules get more fleshed out and kids realize sitting one more year is a better career move than repeatedly changing systems, it will die down a bit.

These kids see a guy like Burrow have success but barely any of them have his mental or physical talent. More often than not they’ll end up like Tate Martell.

This is why he’s the worst. We have two bullpen games coming up. And we pull a starter pitching a no hitter after 5. He’s the worst

Here is the thing. Ian is arguably the best pitcher we have left. He had only thrown 50% strikes and his release point was screwed up on his breaking pitches. Releasing it too late hence so many in the dirt. Astros third time around would sit on the fastball. Also, need him later in the series as fresh as possible. It was not an easy call and taking him out leaves you more open to second guessing. I would’ve probably ran him out for one more inning and we might have lost. Regardless, I won’t question him anymore cause he has pushed the right buttons this year and he’s absolutely not the worse. Players love playing for him and they trust him. In the majors, that’s 80 percent of the battle. But, I hate the analytic shifts in a World Series game where good hitters will take advantage of it. That crap drives me nuts but we don’t remember the outs we do get from it but it did hurt Max and almost bit us in the 9th.

But we up 2-1. Go Braves.
