His qualification in the prior sentence is "African-American" as if the only "true black people' are AAs. Good lort that is stupid. A whole new version of the "true Scotsman" fallacy. The hilarity and complete ignorance of that article is mind blowing. It says there are some players that look black but are Hispanic, and then says there is no diversity. Ummm, Hispanic is diverse. These articles get more ridiculous by the day.
I am a UT fan and alum, just kinda tired of us never being any good and everyone nestled up in Heupal’s crotch just like every coach we have had since Fulmer. FYI, 4 wins usually doesn’t get you bowl eligibleYou understand this team wasn't even supposed to be bowl bound after such an absurd amount of turnover, right? And yet we had that locked up 2 freakin weeks ago lol.
There is also WAY more to analysis than Ws and Ls. You would make a great pollster though...probably have 2015 10-2 Northwestern top 5 and 8-4 UT unranked Try and use your brain sometime.
P.S. if we are "y'all" - what does that make you? Are you even a UT fan? Yeesh.
Do other countries differentiate their citizens like the U.S.? In the U.S., we stress things like African American, or Asian American, or whatever American. Are black people in Britain African British, or just British? His qualification in the prior sentence is "African-American" as if the only "true black people' are AAs. Good lort that is stupid. Besides...whoever the best players are...PLAY. As long as there isn't evidence of active bias as to who plays - who freakin cares? As if a black person born on the Carribean island of Curacao and is Dutch - is any less black than an American born black person. Seriously, wtf?
He goes on to make a claim about the number of black players being less than 10% - clearly it seems he's defining those as American born...must be. This is no different than basketball - the sport is becoming international and has been for some time. But to act like there's active bias - well there's not even a mention.
Fwiw never heard of rollingout.com and it's 1 person's opinion. I can hardly imagine anyone shares such an absurd view. The internet is full of shiz opinions. He wasn't the first and won't be the last.
But unlike @Christian Lowe I highly doubt the owners vote for any sort of AA or quotas, nor does there seem to be any evidence of bias - unlike the precedence behind AA, which has been very well documented in the workplace and hiring practices.
Nobody was nestled up in Butch's first year (5-7) or Pruitt's (5-7) after a Vandy blowout.I am a UT fan and alum, just kinda tired of us never being any good and everyone nestled up in Heupal’s crotch just like every coach we have had since Fulmer. FYI, 4 wins usually doesn’t get you bowl eligible
the term african american is insulting to people of color that I know. by and large in speaking to a person one prefers to be called by their first name. Having been corrected numerous times its 'Steve, who is Black and lives in America. Do I look African to you?'His qualification in the prior sentence is "African-American" as if the only "true black people' are AAs. Good lort that is stupid. Yes. Try being Japanese-American in Japan, for instance. You'll always be an outsider to them. Or African countries, like the Hutus and Tutsis...hardly a difference as countrymen - but the Belgians officially divided them into separate castes - with identification cards and all - and it was bought...all the way to going to war against one another.Do other countries differentiate their citizens like the U.S.? Point being, we set ourselves up for division. People are people, and if you're an American, you're an American. Why do we need to break people up into groups?
