Turin Turambar... Omg...that one story is just...so.. I don't even have the words for how powerful it is...Loved the Silmarillion. So many great characters like Turin Turambar and I love all the history from the old continent and middle earth. I think Rothfuss will nail it when he finally finishes. He is a great storyteller. Completely agreed on WoT. Filled with amazing moments.

The Silmarillion as a whole is just beautiful storytelling...it runs the emotional gamut from devastatingly heart-rending loss to exhilarating exultant triumph.
The theme of hope, faithfulness, friendship and love in the face of all odds being the most powerful forces in creation is one that runs all the way through Tolkeins full Middle Earth saga, but it is shown the most beautifully in The Silmarillion.
Read Children of Húrin in middle school. Absolutely loved it but never carried over to any of the other books. Love Tolkien’s universe though.Turin Turambar... Omg...that one story is just...so.. I don't even have the words for how powerful it is...

I am not reading Rothfuss unless he finishes it, I will check out The Iron Druid down the road, thanks for the suggestion, but right now I am four and a half books into my first re-read of the Wheel of Time and my adult onset adhd is killing me. I am struggling to read anything anymore no matter how much I like it.Man, I devoured Rothfuss. Sooooo good.
Read The Iron Druid Chronicles by Kevin Hearne if you haven’t, great series.

I will say for those that haven't done it yet..WoT is even better the second time. There are soooo many foreshadowing details that I missed on the first read...Jordan was amazing.
