7 years ago today-- Dobbs brought us back from 14 deficit with a few minutes to go against SC. In overtime, Barnett "bam bammed" the SC whiney quarterback, and we won when they had to kick a 145 yard field goal.

So much of coaching comes from “the gut”. Dusty has been throwing everything out there….change in a lineup that has been dominant all year / using Grienke to pinch hit. Snit did the same type things using last night as a bullpen game. Last night it worked for Dusty and not Snit. Night before it was reverse.

It’s easy to sit here and question calls…..that’s what sports is all about. Braves pitching is set up well, now the bats need to come alive. If that happens, they win. If not, they don’t.

Remember it all too well, at least part of it. Was stuck in the I-40 tunnel on the NC side of the state line with hundreds of Vol fans earlier in the day who were headed to the game when a freak (Frank?) snowstorm hit the gorge. It looks us 6 hours to begin moving toward Asheville. Got to see the second half comeback.

You and my brother were both stuck in the gorge at the same time. I had come up from T-Bay for four to five days to see the folks and spend a couple days in the Smokies that weekend.

Good stuff - we may have met each other since folks got out and walked around. It got tiring, but was a lot of fun with the Rocky Tops and Go Vols! Brought back memories of Frank Zappa - don't eat the yellow snow. lol. Lots of it on the access road side of the tunnel.

My wife was not amused. Finally inched our way around jack knifed semis to the Lake Junaluska exit and found a place to gas up/use the restrooms. Was filling the car as she went in first to use the restroom. It was the kind of place with hunting gear, deer heads on the wall, boxes stacked everywhere, etc. Two minutes later she came flying out crying. She had seen a big rat in the restroom with her behind a box as she did her business. She was not amused at my laughter. But it gave us a story to tell for years. She's still not over it - every time we go through the tunnel I ask her if we need to stop on the other side to pee. lol.
