I don't know but I'll be there!@BassmasterVol when will the parade be? Friday?
I love them both. I hate to say one is my favorite over the other, but Randland is just so much more fleshed out and solid, and without as many of the contradictions that Tolkeins Middle Earth has.I'm going on my 9th or 10 read of the first 7-8 books and I still catch things every time that I didn't pay attention to on previous reads. I would go back and reread the series every couple of years when a new book would come out but only read the back half a few times. I took about 10 years off of reading regularly so I didn't read the final 4 books until a couple of years after they were written. I'm sure I'll catch tons of stuff on this round.
Jordan's level of detail is unmatched. Only Middle Earth compares to the immersion into Jordan's world. So much lore and history behind both stories but Jordan is more descriptive of setting and personality than Tolkien which makes him my favorite writer.
It wasn't to me, it was a massive epic disappointment to me. I love that we beat UGA and Florida, but did not like the way we had to struggle to win both games...but losing to Candy and blowing the Sugar Bowl was sickeningWell, we played well enough to beat two teams that we haven’t beaten since…and one team that was our lone win in like the last 17 tries. You have to enjoy the ones you win. That’s all I’m saying. It was fun to watch.
