I think its all about intent. So I may be alone in this opinion, but if you are drunk and pick up a gun or pick up a knife and kill someone, I believe that you would go to jail for much longer…
Why isn’t the penalty much worse for using a 3k pound bludgeon to kill someone? What if you’re drunk and kill someone with a sledgehammer or baseball bat?
With all the PSAs about not drinking and driving, I think that drunk vehicular homicide is closer to premeditated than accidental.
One of the burn injury surgeons at Parkland hospital was going in to save someone’s life when his was ended by a drunk driver. That drunk robbed the world of a phenomenal person who had saved hundreds if not thousands of lives that would have been lost due to their burn related injuries. How many more people could he have saved? All because some guy was still drunk at 7AM on a Sunday and ran a stop sign.
End rant.
1995 was the first time in 28 years UT finished in the top 3 in both polls in Football. It's a sign for next season!!Champions View attachment 408569
He doesn’t give a d&mn about voting policies in Georgia…. He just tried to quiet the negative noise from the media and social media.
I agree but they don’t want the negative news with baseball struggling….. I disagree with their actions and think the people complaining don’t follow baseball anyways. That’s exactly the problem with how we react today. More concerned about perception than reality. He should have just weathered the storm as the rest of the nation began to pass similar laws and the news cycle moved on.
Ironically, I just voted in Georgia on the same day the Braves won the World Series. It was the easiest voting process I’ve experienced here in 15 years. 5 minutes in and out.
That’s crazy, I live in wake county (Raleigh NC), dropped my boy of at hockey on Saturday, last day of early voting. I told him I should be back before the end of his practice. Walked into polling place and was the only one voting! We have had historically low numbers, good news I was able to watch his whole practice! That’s exactly the problem with how we react today. More concerned about perception than reality. He should have just weathered the storm as the rest of the nation began to pass similar laws and the news cycle moved on.

Our new GM is a wizard and will do what’s best. They will resign Freddie no doubt and keep our core of Acuna, Albies, Freddie, Swanson. Plus our starting pitching is locked up. Soroka comes back and we have a hell of a lineup. I would be shocked if they don’t sign Soler now too. He won the MVP and he was clutch with his bat. Good problem to have when you have a lot of people coming back from injury and trying to decide which players to keep and let go.They will have hard decisions to make…. Some of those guys will be overpaid by someone based on their performance in the playoffs…. Braves have to be smart about which ones to keep and which ones to let go.
4 straight Division titles and now a World Series champ. Man, I hope the Cardinals’ new manager is as as Snit! Glad he shut y’all up for a little bit. Glad the Braves gave the commish the . Appreciate what you’ve got! Don’t want to hear the same whining when Heup is leading us to undefeated NCs!
