It took about two decades for the Burns Middle School to open. DC started losing when they got away from old school DC football.

If a HS opens in Burns, they will have a ton of success at the 1A/2A level.

All the corn-fed country boy linemen ended up at Creekwood when it opened in 02. They used to bully people on the line of scrimmage and use Dickson city athletes to run the ball and put the best athlete at quarterback. Had some good years in the mid-2000s, and one good year around 2012-2013.

Couple years back they won one game and averaged like 50ppg. (I checked - won 3 games and averaged 37ppg. Proceeded to average 12ppg 3 consecutive years and win a total of like 3 more games then moved onto a new coach who went 2-8 this year and 0fer last year)

Problem is, they had a staff from Oklahoma who had won multiple OK state titles come in and interview for the job. Instead the good ole boys stayed in-house and hired the quarterback's dad who had been an assistant. Pretty sure that OK staff went to another mid-state school and already has a state title. Can't remember which school it was though.

and the media hype they got all summer and through the first part of this schedule was just complete nonsense. Never made sense.

I am concerned that this is setting up for a lot of anti-Heupel blowback if we lose, and we don't need that. A lot of people are stupid.

People who are stupid do not matter. Won’t be any blowback. He’s doing well and he’s going to be fine. But I do think we will win.

Yeah, I'm afraid if we win it's gonna be another case of "we still haven't beaten anybody yet", and if we lose it's gonna be "we can't win the big games." Mizzou and usce were both big games until we won; then they weren't.
