I think the refs called it fair in a way..they were "letting them play"...they didn't call holding on us either. It is just that approach played to Kentucky's strengths and was a very big advantage for them. There were several third down plays that they converted that would have stalled out scoring drives if the blatant holding/bear hugging and blocking in the back was called.I know @Ulysees E. McGill has harped on this, but I just rewatched a lot of the game and UK’s blatant holding on offense is amazing. It’s like every snap, and sometimes by multiple OL.
I think anyone down on our defense, especially the lack of sacks and TFLs should consider that. With different reffing I think UK stalls on MANY of those productive drives of there’s and our defense gets off the field much quicker.
When your opponent is averaging 33 pt margin of victory...just vs conference opponents. Hate to say it, but they're blistering other SEC teams.21 point dogs? I was expecting 17 tbh
WR's are open on almost every play, by a Country mile. Hooker does possess confidence and moxy. He’s really an incredible offensive coach. If I’m being honest Henson Hooker is nothing special. But he’s made him look like those old Texas Tech QBs that threw 5k a year.
Didn’t think you were complaining. It’s just hard for me to consider what may be wrong with the way he is performing and after years of JG.Oh I'm 100% not complaining and I love him. I wanted him day 1. Just an observation that I hope the team takes note of and takes efforts to keep his hands actively warm on the sideline.
I really hope he comes back next year. I think he will be a Heisman candidate.
I always think the refs are against us. Quite often, we don't get the benefit of calls. But a lot of that has to do with how bad we've been. Refs tend to favor the more successful teams. Intentional or not, there appears to be bias in calls.I think the refs called it fair in a way..they were "letting them play"...they didn't call holding on us either. That approach by the refs had literally no bearing on us as we rarely got to third down...so that is why I say it was a big advantage for UK.
I said last night that I thought the fix was in, but in retrospect I don't think so.
I think that stuff was just an excuse for what happened in that Clemson game…. The Hokies staff and medical team didn’t seem too on board with that reason for what happened during that game…. I really hope he decides to come back although I feel JH will have that position performing no matter who the QB is.Oh I'm 100% not complaining and I love him. I wanted him day 1. Elliot sucksNo i don’t. I still think Tony Elliot is a great coach and recruiter. That doesn’t mean I’m not very happy with Heupel and what he’s done so far. Clemson has a lot of issues internally. Dabo and their admin hasn’t been as helpful with players & their NIL potential which is causing major issues inside their locker room.
