Not necessarily in order, but I can give 4 names:

1 - Same ol’ regurgitated Bob Stoops. He’s our John Gruden. He’s be sought after since Spurrier left 20 years ago.

2 - Makes me wanna puke to even type this, but Lane Kiffin. I hated him with the fire of 7 hells the one year he was at UT, but we’d be guaranteed good offense, that’s for sure.

3 - People seem to like Billy Napier. I’m not sold but I can see that he’s got a great coaching lineage and has done a helluva job in his current job.

4 - James Franklin. Knows the SEC, and the biggest thing, he’s a helluva recruiter.

Imagine the Vol hate if Franklin ends up at Florida.

If Hendon Hooker declares for the draft... The silver lining is that makes Tennessee the premier destination for a transfer QB next year. Heupel should be able to get his phone calls answered by anyone.. Be it Rattler or whoever he wants.

You've got a freshman, a guy who got benched this year, and then a coach who just took a guy out of the portal who was definitely filling out Academy Sports applications a year ago and gave him a chance to make an NFL roster.

Just a thought I had last night.

Let’s not change the narrative here, Milton got hurt and Hooker never looked back.

I still think Milton has the chance to do the same thing Hooker has, question is when or if that switch ever clicks for him.

From that list you pick out Lane as the character issue guy? Take a closer look at #4. He makes Lane seem like a choir boy, and that's no easy feat.
True enough, but Franklin would also be acclaimed as a "historic" hire for Florida and that can sometimes overcome other deficiencies for the bureaucrats in a university administration who are concerned with such things. Lane is just like presenting your school to the world as a reality show, and when you are concerned about your USNWR ranking, that's a bigger sin.

He did come in for an injured Milton, but I have to believe a change was inevitable. Maybe Hooker got his shot earlier with the injury, but I think Milton wouldn't have lasted another game as the starter.

We need him to stay 1 more season really. If not, hope they fire him late and scramble for a Dooleyesque hire like you said.
Yes and us to supplant FL as the only real challenger to GA in the East. Of course, next yr may the lat ye the East as we know it exists. Right now GA has their run of the East.

We can assume all we want, but Milton wasn’t benched. We get plenty of national media and even local media quick to **** on us with false narratives, no clue why we as fans wanna do it too.

I am not completely convinced Milton wouldn’t have started hitting, he clearly had better accuracy last night with backup WRs that weren’t catching anything. I love Hooker and want him back for a Heisman campaign type of season, but I think Milton can also be a stud. It’s scary how close he really is to being elite.

AP said on the post-game podcast that unless UK loses to Louisville, they will have bowl preference over us because there is a rule saying a bowl can’t take a team to jump another that has a greater than two game win differential. Says Music City is by far the most likely. Not sure why the Charlotte bowl is a low possibility.

I will believe they send Arky or Ms St to a Florida bowl when I see it. If UK wins I agree that they and A&M probably get the Citrus and Outback in some order, but I think geography wins out and we go to Charlotte. Too far from NW Ark to either Charlotte, Tampa or Jacksonville. I suspect the SEC wants us somewhere other than Jax.

I'd be down with that. Would love to play a recruiting rival like Clemson or UNC in Charlotte. Of course, I wouldn't mind beating the heck out of a slow Big 10 team in Nashville to get to 8-5 and build a ton of momentum for next year.

It is actually unreal that Heupel can take the leftovers he was given and create this type of offensive production.

The only thing that would make it other worldly is if he did it with JG. 😂

But for real it’s impressive. The offense is night and day.

And the defense was a real surprise.

Depth and talent are the only issues.

Lane Kiffin will most definitely take the Florida job. He’s looking to cash out this year and will take an upgrade.

Me too, but if UK and MSU, I think we get the Outback and I would love to get Tampa and a slow Big "we can't count" team.

ive wondered if Hooker stays that maybe there’s a shot we can call Tre Turner from Virginia Tech if he decides to leave Bc of the coaching change. That’s Hookers best friend and he’s a nice player. I’m sure we will be in on plenty WRs that are looking to transfer. We need 1 or 2.
I read last week he had accepted a Senior Bowl invitation.

Music City most likely for us, sorry. Thinks UK will get one of the Florida bowls.
Maybe I'm being a homer. If the bowl selection is a choice between UK and the Vols, I have to think they pick the Vols. We beat UK, our fan base travels better than just about anyone in the country, and our offense is a hot-topic and something everyone wants to see in action. I don't think UK can overcome our draw.
