But that's what made it such an oddly ignorant statement from him. It's not like we're talking about winning the east, here.
"Might be a few years" = No one blinks an eye.

5 years to *make a bowl game???

Win the East one year...out the next. Sounds familiar.

No patience in society. But I'm glad...quite glad. Bring in another butterteeth or Zook and we can get back to at least playing them competitively. Maybe we can knock the mental stink off this matchup once and for all next year. We should be uber confident with Heupel and they'll be such an unknown. Probably have mass transfers, etc.

While i agree with you i will say Danny boy did this to himself. On many levels.

This collapse has been unreal.

So to recap, we woke up on October 2nd with the following; FL was ranked 10th in the country, they were two weeks removed from going toe-to-toe with #1 Bama, they were one week removed from a blowout of a clearly improved TN team. National writers were talking about what Mullen was building, recruits were taking notice. Later that night FL lost to Kentucky. And the total collapse had begun. 7 weeks later, only 7 weeks, FL has gone from that scenario to probably firing their coach. The only two wins since have been Vandy and Samford.

We’ve had ****** seasons, but we’ve pretty much known we were ****** from the start. I’ve never seen one where we appeared to be a national contender as late as October, but then literally flopped to the second worst team in the SEC.

I’d say there’s about a 40% chance Mullen can save his job if he beats FSU. But that ain’t happening, so in all likelihood, FL will have a coaching search soon.

I’ll admit, I NEVER saw this coming.

I thought UF would have let him stay one more year...especially with the schools that are looking for a coach this offseason...USC, LSU, Washington....and maybe Miami.
