I wouldn’t be shocked if Davis starts next year. He has length, which you can’t coach, and could add 10-15 LBs to help anchor

That would mean we missed on everyone else at that position. He may develop into a serviceable swing tackle but we better hope he is not our starting RT game 1.

Former 4 star TE from VT looking to make a move and reconnect with Hooker. I'm really just more excited at the prospect of Hooker telling other guys that he'll be sticking around.

Even still, it's just fun to have buzz around the team and program so that guys are thinking about joining in on the fun. Momentum! We could find out Hookers decision Saturday if he decides to participate in senior day activities. I know that’s not always the case but it could show which way he’s leaning. JMO

@Jack Burton has really came around from the Pruitt days. Heupel’s offense has brought him back to life. I guess BVS is a real thing. I’m looking for him to remove the bag from his avatar anytime. Lol.

No offense to anyone who liked him, but there was little to be excited about during the Pruitt years. That guy was an obvious dullard from Day 1. I was persona non grata because of my stance.

Make it to NSD with no junk kicks and I’ll remove the bag. ;)

Fwiw I truly believe Dave stays at Baylor. He has a fantastic relationship with the texas high school coaches and I really think we would dominate the big 12 after Ou & texas leave It’s an easy path to the soon to be expanded playoffs.

and btw UGA and UF switching to home and home very soon.

Didn’t Aranda grow up like an hour from USC? Granted, his road to conference championships is about to get easier in the Big 12, but Oregon should be USC’s only real competition in the PAC 12 year in and year out.

Besides, with Texas and Oklahoma gone, I could see any team coming out of that conference trying to make the playoffs in the future having the same issues Cincinnati had getting in this year.

Not enough has been said over Alonte’s devotion to this university. Committed to Butch, signed for Pruitt, and graduates under Heupel. Coulda left at any point and for good reason, but chose to stick it out and represent our state’s flagship university and football program.

True VFL.

Haha I was just ribbing you about the bag. You do you Jack. Agree with you about Pruitt, he was in over his head. Glad it’s over

Mullens personality kinda reminds me of Dooley.

Thought he was the smartest guy in the room but really wasnt. In a way they both might have been, but the need for that acknowledgement was a distraction. Neither really outhustled anybody in recruiting. They kinda expected it to take care of itself. The problem is your opponents are attacking and throwing everything they've got at it every day. And you fall behind quick.

I just had a thought. Our best recruiter is the product we've put on the field. We showed the goods in year one and its beaming with potential. The vibe is good.

We may not land a top 5 class littered with 5 stars. But I'm not sure we need that to have succes and continue building momentum.

Ideally we start getting top 10-12ish classes and stacking them on top of each other. Maybe it takes a couple years to get to that point. Maybe we surprise everyone and finish strong with this class and come close. But either way we're playing the long game and committing to patience. It might take 5-7 years to become serious playoff contenders. Thats the end goal. But teams with depth issues dont make the playoffs. Thats what we've consistently been.

I start dreaming big when I think about what the Vols and this staff could do with a legitimately deep and talented roster in the SEC. If the playing field becomes truly leveled. And it will eventually.

They're all in big big trouble.
