Let go at clemson as OC before they really took off and coached wide outs at Bama before Louisiana. Good recruiter and teams play hard. But nothing scary about him. He would be a step down from Mullen in regards to X’s and O’s.
Did they already forget what a pure recruiter looks like?

Not enough has been said over Alonte’s devotion to this university. Committed to Butch, signed for Pruitt, and graduates under Heupel. Coulda left at any point and for good reason, but chose to stick it out and represent our state’s flagship university and football program.

True VFL.

I've never been a big Alonte at CB fan, I'm on record; and, even though he's had a pretty damn good year there, I'm still not sold. Now, Alonte at a S position...I think he can absolutely play in the NFL there...have always said he's played out of position.

But, yes...what he's meant to this university, the team, the program...it's priceless...he is/will be a wonderful ambassador for the Vols forever. Wish him ALL the best.

Agreed...that is all I am saying. If Hooker leaves along with Velus and Tillman I know that CJH will figure out how to get production somehow as the season goes on, but we will be stuck trying to figure it out still against UF...again...I want to stomp the 💩 out of em, and I believe if Hooker comes back we will beat the 💩 out of them, but if he doesn't then I think it will be a toss-up at best.

They will be all fired up for their new coach, and unlike most I am not expecting them to hire a dreg.

Yep. Having to go thru extra unknowns early delays what our teams can be.
Heup did great with HH, lots of poise to pull off KY. Flip side, if CJH doesn't have to sort things out early, we get another win or 2.

Heup can mitigate damage but we're a conference of heated rivalries. Every loss sucks and the goal is to rid any factor plausible that contributes to the likelihood, ASAP.
Can't wait to see what he can do with well established program and playmakers.

What does a safety do ?
A cb covers wr that I know.

Does the safety help DB's and always be the deepest man except when they blitz?

This ^. 100%

His stride is too long and not flexible enough in his hips to make quick adjustments to routes. That cannot happen in the NFL. At S you he get away with it. Will need to play in a scheme that is heavy zone/quarters coverage.

But as a VFL and leader - he's outstanding.

They're the last line of defense, and need to be sure tacklers. Most of the time they are farthest off the ball; but, you can bring them up closer to line of scrimmage. They can be used in many different ways; but, they cover middle of the field, and can give help to CBs in coverage.

He's great whenever everything is in front of him.

The season is here, you can smell and hear it in the air. Not clean shots at bucks in the woods. Not turkey and dressing cooking, Not chestnuts roasting on an open fire with Christmas bells jingling.

It's time to build the Vol roster. Let's do this. Bring your best.

Which players want to win it all and become legends of the game?

Never understood the allure of sports betting. Ive examined this and spent waay too much time on it.

I can def see allure of poker though, that is fun. Really not enough to warrant spending any real money on it.
Poker, I feel, has to be played with meaningful stakes otherwise it’s a not a fun, competitive game.

It makes games you have no rooting intrest in 100x more enjoyable to watch.

Also, I'd like to flip the Wade twins. And if it meant letting Keaton play QB then I would, hell we'll need the depth and if he's willing to try and learn he could be less likely to transfer out for not playing after a year or two.
Keaton playing QB do you mean number 80 our wide receiver?

This is what I dont understand? Why does money have to be on the line? Cant it be competitive by its very nature?
Imo, competition is always fun regardless of stakes, but it adds an extra layer of fun/interest to have something tangible on the line. Sort of like how playing fantasy sports adds interest to games you might otherwise not care about or at least care about as much.
