I personally think that “number” was broached pre-firing and summarily rejected by Pruitt…angling for all or most of the buyout. That was my fervent hope before his firing but he lost that game of chicken in a broiler.

That's probably true, too. But if there is ever a discussion about him accepting a number along the lines of less than 6 figures (or even just into 6 figures)...then you cut the check and be done. A settlement will be confidential, and you won't spend any more money on it or for it to be publicized any longer.

We got a 1,000 yard receiver out of a dude with no other offers. Took a running back and making him an NFL draft pick. Took a discard from Ole Miss and making him and a USC transfer really good again.

I think we will be fine.

I just finished off a lunch consisting of:
Home grown turnip greens, 2 slices of spiral ham, old fashioned cornbread dressing, mashed potatoes, sweet potato casserole and 2 deviled eggs. For dessert I had a small bowl of peach cobbler.
