Not all records are created equal

If you looked at a piece of paper and only saw records then you would think Mizzu, TN, South Carolina, Auburn were the same. When in reality TN is the one team of that bunch others do not want to play. Auburn with a healthy Bo Nix would be different as well as they don’t lose that game vs South Carolina if he is healthy and may have held on vs ms st.

I’m sure some dumb media will make it out to be similar but Huepel 6-5 has been a lot more impressive as we could really be 8-3 while others are lucky to be 6-5. They both beat a Florida team that quit. Then Beamer gets lucky again to play Auburn without nix and also a team with their own internal turmoil with harsin looking into Washington and several players likely hitting portal. These teams were not even impressive in any of their wins. All ugly. TN curb stomped all but kY In their wins. My point being while people in media will claim Beamer and Heupel have done equal jobs… it’s heupel with the most likely to have long term success based on product in field. Beamer will not succeed with the OC he has right now

My gun is messed up. Semi auto. Took a shot at 200 yards at a doe last night. Missed. Went to shoot again, next round didn’t chamber. Messed with it, got the next round in, went to shoot, nothing. Had to drop the clip, eject the round, reload bullet into the clip, put the clip back in and chamber. Dumb thing was still standing there. Dropped her. Need a new gun with a much better scope
What is it?

I agree but UT is making it harder. We are part of the “grandfathered” group in C that lost that status for next year. We are trying to decide if we will fork out an extra $2,000 to keep our seats. All of the season ticket holders around us have evaporated and now we get new folks who buy their tickets on stub hub or no one at all… and we’re on the 40 - just under cover (so we can see the Jumbotron). We used to have player’s parents all around us and now….
I was responding to a post that said even the teams in the top five are not filling stadiums because people would rather stay home. That’s what the focus is moving to less seats but comfy and party.

Ham is for Christmas, turkey is for thanksgiving. Don’t @ me
Actually, wild duck and venison were probably the most common food items at the first Thanksgiving, and goose was the traditional Christmas dish for a long time. Ham and turkey became more prevalent due to marketing campaigns from the animal agriculture industry in the early-1900's.

In some parts of the South, raccoon was the meat of choice for Thanksgiving. Up until Coolidge pardoned one sent to him in 1926 as a gift from a voter in Mississippi (he subsequently kept it as an official White House pet).

Saw thread in FF that this weekend will likely be last chance to get 100,000+. I am sad about it being the end of an era, but it’s also inevitable. Fitting 80-85k comfortably with nicer amenities and chair backs around the entire stadium will ultimately compete better with the at home experience. Most of the winning schools like Bama, LSU, and Ohio St with 100,000+ seats can’t even fill up anymore. Neyland can keep the same configuration and still appear like the majestic cathedral we love.

Been in chair backs for years. No going back, so much more comfortable than bleachers. Peeing in a urinal, rather than a repurposed feeding trough, has been a luxury upgrade as well. Amazing the things Vols fans have put up with. Yes, please, upgrade the stadium.

Step 1: Look up the difference between a clip and a magazine.

Step 2: Replace gun with a more reliable bolt action.

You're welcome.

I say this with sincerity. That’s very interesting. Thanks for the history!
