Do some of you actually hunt with an AR? I guess I could see that for hog hunting but not deer hunting. Call me old fashioned, but I grew up hunting with lever action and bolt action rifles...maybe even a 12ga with buckshot. I guess the deer weren't as violent back then. Then again, I could only take out 7 deer in a self defense situation with perfect shots from my 35 Marlin 336...so maybe I've never truly been prepared in case the herd fought back.

All joking aside, if you hunt deer with an AR and a high capacity magazine...are you just saying you're a bad shot without actually saying you're a bad shot?
Mines not for deer. I use bolt or lever action for deer. I have an old 1950s semi auto Remington. 308 my grandpa left me as well.

Who said hunt deer with a high cap mag? Actually I said just the opposite. Said I had 5 rounders on my Christmas list. If you don't understand the practicality of the AR platform then you've never owned one.

I've not hunted deer with mine either, yet. I hunt where I have about a one mile hike. I can take the little
AR straped on my back. It's very light and compact.

Actually, wild duck and venison were probably the most common food items at the first Thanksgiving, and goose was the traditional Christmas dish for a long time. Ham and turkey became more prevalent due to marketing campaigns from the animal agriculture industry in the early-1900's.

In some parts of the South, raccoon was the meat of choice for Thanksgiving. Up until Coolidge pardoned one sent to him in 1926 as a gift from a voter in Mississippi (he subsequently kept it as an official White House pet).
Moonshiners use the raccoon penis bone to help guide the shine into the bucket/jar/jug as it comes out of the still.

I had to go from store to store looking for certain things because so many places were out of items. I was shopping for my mom so she can make a Turkey Day feast for the entire family. Unfortunately, she waited til last minute, which meant I had to scramble.
Kroger was out of everything Sunday, yes I’m the queen of waiting until the last minute. I had to do some last minute menu scrambling to make stuff work.

This is the little AR SBR 300B/O is a blast to shoot and is so portable. I can hit a Coke can at 100 easily. Suppressed it's a little longer. I need some 5 round mags. They're on my Christmas list.
