You mean the people that trust the staff to play the best player? Those guys are the problem? The ones that aren't questioning the new coaches right off the bat, that think those coaches deserve a chance to show they know what they're doing? Yeah, what a pain in the ass those guys are. How dare they hope we're finally getting it right after 15 years?? Screw them. The people arguing with and complaining about the HB supporters are equally part of the problem IMO JMO TIFWIW
No. I’m talking about the guys that have consistently mischaracterized all the arguments against Milton into something they aren’t…*ahem*You mean the people that trust the staff to play the best player? I really hope Bailey sees some playing time soon so people will shut the hell up about it. If he succeeds great, and if he doesn't, maybe people will stop touting him as the next Peyton Manning. Some of you are making it seem as if we're still coached by idiots. For the love of God, I hope that's not true. Otherwise, we still have a lot of years of suck in front of us.
ALL the arguments? You must not have read AL the arguments if you think they've ALL been mischaracterized. But hell, I'm over it. I say let Bailey play. I want the kid to get his shot, and when he does, I hope he shines. I really do. But if he doesn't, then I hope people stop wringing their hands over it.No. I’m talking about the guys that have consistently mischaracterized all the arguments against Milton into something they aren’t…*ahem*
It was the first game.Who said the kid was Peyton? I've seen a bunch of us that think the kid is a gamer, has a ton of potential...what in tbe hell is wrong with that? And how can anybody have blind accepting faith in any coach after the horse we have put up with for fifteen years?...especially when it comes to QBs.
Please read this part before you go off...I trust Huepel to an extent, but I also know that even good coaches get blinded by the kind of insane physical abilities Milton has..and I understand why...hell even I think he should be given every chance to succeed, he could be truly awesome, but I will not just sit here and take it quietly while watching him continue to play like he did Thursday night..IF he continues to perform that way.
I had well established legitimate doubts about him from the beginning, everybody knew how I felt and what I believed about him, and then he went out there and confirmed my worst doubts after starting out pretty well. That is hard to overcome and see a positive outcome...do you really not understand that?
Truce...I really am tired of it too...but if people keep responding with stuff it makes it hard to just shut up.ALL the arguments? Way to pick out one word and use it to exaggerate my comment. You’re really killing it. Gotta say, you sure don’t sound “over it,” Weez. Sleep tight tonight.ALL the arguments? I have vague memories of my dad running around the house screaming when we beat Florida in 2001, or the 6 OT Arkansas game that had him pulling his hair out. Seeing him that invested in something made me equally invested because I wanted to be just like my dad. Hopefully that passion comes back for both of us.. he hasn’t even been to a game since 2017.
Side note, I hate that my dad has checked out like that. My favorite childhood memory is him surprising me with tickets to Tennessee @ South Carolina when clausen was there, as well as my first Tennessee jersey. And I was through the moon. My dad was never the type to just buy me something out of the blue for no reason, which today I appreciate but was annoying as an 8 year old.. anyways. May have been 2003.. we ended up sitting with their snooty season ticket holders and were heckled all game. We just laughed it off together.
Depends on Milton imo. Does he take the reigns and become the starting QB for the rest of this season and next? If so Bailey is gone. Does he stink it up early this weekend against Pitt? If so Bailey should at least get his shot especially if Hooker doesn't get anything going on offense. My hope is Milton improves enough to take his shot at the draft next year. In the meantime Bailey redshirts and decides to stick around knowing that he would would be in a prime spot to take the job next season. He said it's possible he leaves after this year. Of course it is. If he doesn't see a future for himself, why would he stay?
He also said it's possible that Heup wants to redshirt him and save him.
