First off, I had to decipher what j ew meant. I thought it was a anti Semitic slur at first. Of course Tennessee fans are over the moon with Huepel. His first year compared to last is a lot better (using a capital H can be your friend when spelling out his name). I’m just glad it not your official job to judge.

It isn’t even close.

The d-line has outperformed all expectations this year. The d-line has played with more fire than any of the last 15 years.

Okay okay, I'll explain this one time.

Stoops & Co have been recruiting those kids for a few years, whereas our staff has had a year to talk to them. That's the biggest disadvantage right now. When Pruitt came in he was already recruiting a lot of those kids to Bama, plus he was paying them. He had the relationships. Our staff now hadn't built many relationships with the Tennessee kids and Top 100 players while at UCF. They're playing catch-up. Also, the looming NCAA sanctions have been used by all of our rivals against us, and many many many in-the-know have said it's hurt us with recruits.

In addition to that, one of the UK commits wants to play QB, even though that isn't his best position. UK is allowing him to do that, and we weren't lying to him and instead told him where we felt his best position was.

We are already making good progress with '23 kids, and had a 5* QB and WR in for the game today.

The '22 class is MOST LIKELY going to be a mix of kids we can convince last-minute, low-rated scouting finds, and a ton of transfers. Probably a 20-25 ranked class.

That doesn't make them bad recruiters. Now go to bed.

Fulmer won 8 in regular season (plus the bowl) and Kiffin won 7 regular season his year here.

Dude a 5-star qb in next years class was at the game today. Recruiting starts years in advance you can't expect a coach to walk in at the end of January and lock up a class when he has to recruit the team he has and play a season. Step 1 accomplished and bleeding stopped. Now that the reg season is over the real recruiting starts. Bet we finish top 15. With Covid last year nobody really knew what a lot of these high school kids could do until a couple months ago.

Fixed. Also you got some typos yourself. As for the job…I’m thrilled with how good of a job he’s done on the field. As I’ve stated we’ve had excellent recruiters (as coaches) who turned out to be terrible coaches. We all really knew Heupel knew how to coach. Especially on offense. The big question marks were around recruiting amd how his defenses have performed in the past.
As for the recruiting…a lot of those questions revolves around his perceived lack of charisma/personality. And I think we have a right to question that. Recruiting has to improve moving forward. At some point it won’t matter if we are calling a great game is our talent is so inferior to our opponent’s. And with all the top level high school talent Tennessee produced this cycle it just feels like a massive loss that we got almost none of them.

If it goes into the 3rd overtime, that's exactly what will happen. People were bitching about the length of overtime games so this is the answer to that. Dumb or not---that's the current OT rules.

I didn’t expect a top 10 class. But seeing all of the top level players recruit to Kentucky in the last couple of months was a loss on heupel’s part for sure. I hope you’re right about top 15 but unfortunately I don’t think you are. It just feels like we’re not even reading about the kids being on campus etc.

He's been on the job 10 months. He doesn't have a relationship with these recruits yet. Give him time--
