Missouri, Kentucky and Ole Miss are a lot better than many on here want to believe

no they arent. Missouri is absolute pured unadulterated poo. Kentucky has a better QB. But is still middle of the pack. Ole Miss has a first round QB. Defense is improved but much like us, has a 1 deep. Will get throttled in that juggernaut of a division.

If Tennessee doesnt beat Mizzoo or KY this year fine. We're about to start a healthy run against those two poopoos.

We're going to beat the 3 cupcakes, KY, Mizzou, Vandy, and SC. We beat Pitt we're guaranteed 8

The only way we win all those is if we get better QB and WR play.

If some QB on the team doesn't do any better than what we saw Thursday...it will be a looooong season.

I've seen a lot of season predictions that have us losing this game but beating Mizzou and Kentucky... Those teams are both better than Pitt.

Not to say it couldn't happen. We lose to less talanted teams all the time. But if we lose to Pitt on talent, we probably aren't beating Mizzou or Kentucky either.

It’s hard to say what we’ll look like by the time we get to UK/Mizzou. I wouldn’t be surprised if we start clicking and looking a lot better late on the season compared to now. I’m not sure there’s a big difference in talent level between Pitt/UK/Mizzou and us, so probably comes down to who’s playing better at the time. New scheme will take some time for our guys to get used to.

It is a barometer game for sure. It should tell us a lot about how the season will go for this particular team.

Definetly anxious to see how they cleaned up things. I’m not looking past Pitt but if we bring it like I feel we can, I then look forward to how our backups do against Tn Tech. After that, it’s on to the swamp and prove the Gators suck !

On Hyatt's drops, the ball was coming at a more direct angle. The tackiness is mostly utilized when the force vectors of the ball in contact with the glove surface area are more parallel to the glove surface. On Hyatt's drops, the force vector was more normal (perpindicular) to the glove surface. Does not engage the tackiness.

Hyatt's drops are from trying to catch the ball with his belly button instead of his hands.

That’s not necessarily true….. the player that we see when they get on the field may not have been the same player last week or 3-4 weeks…. It is a growth and development process that fans don’t get to see.

I agree here. I worry that if they drop it that there could be some discouragement in that locker room. This win could compel us especially if we win convincingly.

Making a bowl game in year one makes Heupel’s job soooooo much easier. Really need this to happen and get multiple top 15 classes. Just need to get to that consistent 8-4

He loved it….. was very nervous that he would fall….. he was shown on TV a couple of times on the field and his moms phone was blown up from all their friends and family…. I’m jealous. LOL

If we beat Pitt, I think we can beat FL. They looked like hot garbage compared to previous years, and yes I’m well aware Vol fans say this EVERY year, but they didn’t impress me. Emory Jones is cheese and Richardson can only run.

After week one, Mizzou seems to be clearly the worst of that group and I feel much better about our chances against them than the other two. That could change in a hurry this week if they go beat UK.

I think we get 6. It’s the how we get the 6 that makes it interesting and fun.

But I think 6 is the absolute floor this year.
