Signing on for the first time in a while. Skimmed the past hundred pages or so. Do we have a consensus on QB play?

Evans had a great game, but I like the RB room and depth there.

Small looks the part, Wright is also someone they want to see more from. Whitehead and Beckwith and Pierce all seem like they can give you quality reps as well.

Also 2 days ago depth chart was released for Pitt. Looks like Cooper is playing and we'll see Mitchell & Young in the lineup on defense.

That doesn’t necessarily mean they are playing… there were players last week listed that they knew were out.

Yeah, you right. Hopefully they are though, anyone got the scoop?

I know Young was out for eligibility concerns... why didn't we see Mitchell though?

Oh i agree. I think as a society we should start emphasizing test results more than anything - that is proof of carrying the virus or not.
I work in healthcare and there should be multiple retests for these athletes bc there are way too many false positives and negatives.

I’m not sure…. I will check on that…. He may not know that there is a chance he can still play.
I think that is the rule, but honestly i am not sure. They might have to show negative results for 72 hours - who knows. or maybe it is a mandatory time away which would seem silly

Looked like a team of destiny to me. Pretty sure we beat five top 10 teams that year too. I would take that team against any other, because they would find some way to win.

It sure appeared that way. Just two things alone says destiny - the Stoerner fumble and that FSU was down to their third team QB making his third start for the NC game. For all the good games they played against top teams, it took some good luck to bring it home.

Yup. False positive kept my wife and me on lockdown for two days with the birth of our second child. Even though we all got three tests afterward that were all negative.

Keep in mind.. Most teams improve as the season progresses. Hopefully, we will too.

As year goes along, depth for some teams will become a problem. Impossible to know what that will be like with injuries to teams. We have to stay healthy on defense and the OL.

Evans is really good, but I think Small is too. Add in Wright with homerun potential and I think we will be ok in the run game of the line blocks well. It does put a little more on Milton's shoulders though

I found this in an NCAA release from Aug. 4:

States a 10 day quarantine is required:

Any players and staff members who test positive for COVID-19, regardless of their vaccination status, should isolate for 10 days and wait to rejoin the team until at least 24 hours have passed without having a fever. Players should avoid exercise during isolation, under the policy.
