Wanted to share something I finished up this morning. Very simple, but my first piece of furniture completed. Made this bench from an old ash tree. The tree was struck by lightning about 15 years ago at my parents' house in Tennessee. With emerald ash borer (EAB) inevitable, I talked to my dad about cutting it down. We felled it, took it to a local sawmill, and shortly afterward the state closed the county to ash export unless kiln dried or two years old.

That 2 years passed in June, so I was able to take several boards with me when I moved to Virginia. Bedside tables and a mirror frame are the next plans, and my dad plans to turn the rest into hardwood floors (I think its too pretty and knotty for that). I can stand on this bench and it doesn't bend a hair, and my wife can pick it up with ease. Ash is incredible wood.

It was evident that after the top was knocked out, water and some wood-borers (not EAB) got into the heartwood. Caused some really cool colors and features. I may toy with epoxy for the holes next time.

This piece is a perfect candidate for those lichtenberg fractal burners. Then put some epoxy on it

So why in the world be vaccinated if you still get tested without symptoms??!! This is a big pile of horse manure. He obviously isn’t showing symptoms, or he would definitely be out this week…no retest needed.
Symptoms can be extremely mild and caused them to do the test…. It does not necessarily mean he is real bad sick.

Is it against Forum rules to post a “Go Fund Me” link for a married couple who lost their battle with Covid leaving 3 children behind? Just curious.

Fantasy question for the gurus:

Who do you start - can only play 1 - in 1/2 PPR league:

Cortland Sutton
Deebo Samuel
JuJu
