Apparently the NCAA is gonna investigate multiple teams for NIL violations. This is very good for us

Probably Texas AM is one
What violations? If I recall correctly, didn't the ncaa just throw some open ended 5 line statement saying they were allowing nils?

Besides...wgaf what the ncaa decides to do? They can go eff themselves. The whole nil thing may end up being the final nail in the ncaa coffin. Companies (SChools) paying athletes to play are going to be less apt to give a damn what the ncaa has to say.

Again, it’s almost like Tennessee’s administration knew what they were doing by not jumping head first into NIL stuff without knowing what the actual rules are….
All these ADs and schools treating it like "b-b-but the NCAA won't be around in 12 months!" bout to get cremated for their arrogance 🤣

Meanwhile we skate right past other teams while everyone is crushed and down, because we came forward and now we're the least of their worries...

I feel this will work to our favor. We have been behind on NIL deals in comparison to other schools.
I was being sarcastic. It's a lost art.

I hope they burn Texas A&M to the ground!

Lets wait and see. The AA is a paper tiger. Most likely some walk on scholarships get cut and its business as usual.

I'd imagine that Tennessee took a conservative approach this year while the investigation is still underway. On the positive side for you guys, the NCAA would look stupid handing out a stiff punishment for McDonalds bags now that it's perfectly legal for the CEO of McDonalds to walk out on the field at half time and present the entire team with a McDonalds duffel bag.

Dabo would be such a failure in the NFL. Not with his coaching style
Idk he develops the heck out of players, right there with Saban, maybe better. The NFL is one place you can't just stock talent artificially and Dabo was there going toe-to-toe with Bama before they had even seen a top 5 class.

Otoh, I'd bet a lot lf those grown *** men would have some strong words for Dabo and his past words. And maybe you're saying this too - but he may be too preachery and soft for a bunch of NFL types.

Meh, it was illegal at the time...and still is. We (apparently) paid then directly. Schools still can't just hand bags of cash directly to players.

Though I could agree it may not be too stiff. We caught it ourselves (institutional control), came forward, have cooperated. Imo we'll get something decent and it will probably be wideranging, but not too bad on each point. Such as a laundry list of punishments but things like...losing OVs...fewer days for this...that...and schollys ofc. Just let us have our bowl 😅😂
