Replacing both coordinators efficiently when you've just had your worst year in a long time (especially Venables) is going to be a pretty tough row to hoe.

I do but I think it would be a hard decision for some. He is young. May feel waiting a few years for a coaching change is possible at Oklahoma. Venables is a 1st time coach and will have high expectations. Joining the SEC could cause a change sooner than later as those 10+ win seasons will likely be less frequent no matter the division or pod or whatever they come up with. Would be interesting problem to watch unfold somewhere else for sure.

The maniacal laughter GIF is so awesome. That's my buddy Chris Cope. He has done well for himself as a standup comedian.

We used to party together in Gainesville and he and some other local comics had us come to a going away show when my wife was pregnant and we were moving from Gville to North Carolina. He asked us to wear our UT gear and had us sit in the front row so they could make fun of us all night. Great guy even if he is a gator fan.

When you live in Gainesville from age 20-27 and like to party then it happens....shameful though it is. No shame in knowing all the grade A talent female Gator fans, though. 2000's Gainesville had an amazing collection of diverse dime pieces. The going away roast was fun though and we got to shout insults back.

Funny story....Chris was in a magic show in Vegas as the guy in the box getting sawed in half. He ended up getting stuck in the box for hours and eventually shat himself. He got a nice pain and suffering lawsuit that was bigger due to the embarrassment of stewing in his own meatloaf. Lol, he even has some bits about it. Funny guy who is even funnier hanging out and smoking/drinking.

Not the exact same, but Manny Diaz leaving Miami’s DC position for the Temple HC gig and two weeks later returning as HC? Big buyout for two week’s work…but better job. Happened at Arkansas with John L Smith who had just accepted another HC position when Petrino rednose planted on a motorcycle with his goomba. I’m sure there are multiple examples of coordinators recently hired who then took a HC gig. Kliff Kingsbury had accepted the OC position at USC and then landed the Arizona Cardinals.
