Got a feeling we have some transfers on the line and VQ is so out in the dark that they cant find the switch.

How can you logically say we whiffed on West, the Vandy kid, all those DB's etc?
It does make you wonder…. They still haven’t confirmed the Florida tackle but he is sure acting like a commit.

College football would be a better place without early signing day and NIL.

The sport is gonna split in two soon. True CFB comprised of the FCS, G5, and lower-tier FBS schools, and essentially a “Junior NFL” comprised of the top 30 or so FBS teams that merge into a mega conference.

Who is gonna be Hooker's #2 receiver next season? Would love to see us get an elite WR in the portal. Offense has crazy good potential next season!
Any WR can be good in this system, I'm not worried about it. If OL can be good we'll be fine on offense. Really need defense to get better. I know with this O we'll always give up points, but maybe not quite so many.

Or better rules around transfer portal and NiL. Transfer should have to sit out 1 year unless there is a Head Coaching Change and in return that team should be allowed to backfill spots lost to certain degree in either recruiting or transfers. Coaching change should be only qualifier outside of Graduate Transfer for immediate eligibility without special waiver. I could see a case for moving between divisions as well like FCS to FBS and vice versa.

It's one thing to miss on high school recruits due to not having the longevity with relationships. There's no excuse to have little traction in the transfer portal. Really hope there's more going on behind the scenes than we know about.

Is this a recruiting news update or are we grasping at straws?

Admittedly, last winter the program was in an embarrassing position but it is still difficult to take once faced with a struggling class. Sorry to be debbie downer but if we don't get some "impact" players in the portal we will start struggling in 1-2 years.
Huh? Grasping at straws?… It’s bowl practice video. Some like to see it on here. Nice to be in a bowl.

of course theres more going on than you or any of us know. come on now.

I've lost 10 friends to opiates before they were 30, and 3 relatives to them in accidental overdoses. Comparing the two is not fair. Tobacco will not completely destroy you and your families lives in a very short time span. Yes, over time, tobacco will kill you. But you won't steal from your grandmother to buy a pack of Kools.
Agree with alcohol. I've seen it destroy so many people and be the trigger for hard drug abuse.

As the Doc said, they all have their own high(or low)lights.

Tobacco kills approximately 500,00 Americans a year. Little Jefferson City recently had 5 opioid overdose deaths in a 5 week period. Right now, overdose is the big attention-getter, and is a major pandemic in it's own right, but tobacco deaths continue year after year, pretty much under the radar.

Beckwith has added some serious size and muscle…..

Also, if Milton could throw like he does in Practice in a game….. Hooker would be in trouble.
Milton is more frustrating than JG could ever hope to be because of the rare arm talent. I actually think the light will come on and he has time for that with HH taking over and being here another year. The way he whips the ball effortlessly is amazing. The last deep ball he hit on this season was pretty.

Name the WRONG ones from the first effort.
Well Butchna, I’m not accusing our staff of doing a poor job of adding transfers. I was making a general statement. Have to carefully evaluate transfers. Our staff did a good job except with Juwan Mitchell who won’t be here next year most likely and wasn’t a good player when he did play. I like all the other transfers

Owners of the companies, reps, doctors....whoever is responsible for this deserves to rot in prison. It's destroyed middle america.
100%
And then, when the pills get too expensive, it's cheap heroin to keep from getting dope sick. All the while they've completely ruined every relationship in their life and wrecked an entire family. It's incredibly sad.
I think the opiod crisis played a huge role in the hesitancy of so many people to get vaccinated. Big Pharma destroyed so many lives for profit.

Hooker came in under Pruitt and Milton for Heupel, right? Or is it the opposite? I can't remember.

They were probably robbing the store to get money for drugs. Grabbing the cigarettes was just convenient.
This reminds me of the scene in Half Baked with Bob Saget.
I'm not talking about how addictive something is. Because if I was, sugar and caffeine would have to be in the discussion. I'm talking about the almost immediate, negative impact on lives.
At the end of the day, we are all going to die of something.
So pick your poisoquantity.
I'm just trying to get a semblance of quality of life since my health issues have already put a cap on the quantitiy.

Oh yeah, immediate danger, fully agree.
As far as their chemical dependency, (not "habit") nicotine is ranked 3rd or 4th by basically every addiction center.

Wasn't suggesting they robbed for cigarettes😅, too easy and cheap for that. But they will absolutely take extra time, plus reaching, making themselves more vulnerable position wise.

I'm not against transfers. I want us to rack up in the portal every year. But you cannot discount high school recruiting because "we'll just get the guy in the portal!" Hopefully we do get the help that we need in the portal, and we should be targeting the right guys, but high school recruiting will always be the most important.

HS recruiting has always been more important in the past. But it is a very different world now and the portal will just grow in importance as long as kids don’t have to sit a year. It will be the new recruiting ground. Just as important as HS. Maybe more so over time as you can go after more proven commodities
