Like he wouldn't have gotten a large sum at UGA...lolol..šŸ¤£

I see the appeal of playing secondary for Deion at Jackson State, and that school is going to be a cakewalk for academics.

Deion has deep NFL roots, he can probably bring anyone he wants to a pro day. That being said with how the transfer rule is setup and how well Deion is doing at Jackson State (and how bad Mike Norvell is doing at FSU) I'll be shocked if Deion is at Jackson State long enough for Hunter to have graduated.

I'm sure you guys will have a field day with this, but......
I'm still bummed no instant impact guy at ILB. CB we did fine. The D line added some good pieces, Charles will start next year and hopefully someone takes Flowers spot. But we are still at Banks and Beasley being the inside backers starters.
Thatā€™s what the portal is for.

My brother had the same reaction when he was told OH was no longer diabetic. In fact, the whole family did. But it happened likely due to the liver failure and kidney cancer. They took him off insulin at the hospital and told him he was no longer diabetic. One of my friends did actuaries and was like you know how impossible that is? I told him OH had beaten heart failure too. He gave me the numbers and was like "beating just one of those is nearly impossible and to beat diabetes you also have to beat insulin dependence and beating both of those conditions is unreal so maybe your stepdad is right and your OH does have nine lives I wouldn't count him out of beating what he's got now too."

OH has gone against common knowledge on most of his conditions. We were in grad school when he developed cardiomyopathy and heart failure. I remember walking in the ER and joking with the doc about WebMD and he said 'well what did you diagnose?" And I said, "well it can only be one of two things: walking pneumonia or heart failure and I'm worried it's heart failure." He said, "well I can tell you right now that it won't be heart failure." A couple of scans and the inability to read his BP on the newer machines because it was so high later and he was the youngest non-congenital case of heart failure UT had ever seen.

There's always oddities in medicine but because things are pretty standard for most other people find it hard to believe -- even doctors -- until they're presented with overwhelming evidence.
Yeah, I had the UT research doctors at Erlanger keep me for two weeks running tests. They kept saying I was so ā€œinterestingā€ because nothing worked the way it was supposed to, and none of the things happening could happen. My cousin goes through similar problems. We just laugh when told it canā€™t be this because.... So fun. Hate that yā€™all have had similar circumstances.

Going to have to add help from the portal. That's really the only position need. Could take another portal OL and WR tho.

I agree i would have liked another LB but truth is we were never finding instant impact from a high school inside linebacker.

de1 warned everyone. It shouldn't have come as a surprise today. He said it was going to be a very "blah signing day" so everyone should stop.......oh wait, so it didn't turn out like de1 said? We won a couple major recruiting battles and picked up most of our highest ranked recruits today. Well I'll be a monkey's uncle. He was totally wrong. That never happens!
And none were from Tennessee.

I'm still a bit in shock how Heupel and his staff have turned around the program and have it headed in a positive direction in his 1st year. When I look back at our expectations after last year and see where we are now, it's amazing. Taking this team to a bowl when most were saying we would finish with 3 maybe 4 wins is great. And now, bringing a class of 20 young men who all look the part of SEC players. And he is not done. I look for them to go after quality portal players to fill out the roster. The fact that so many of our foundational players are returning, like Hooker, possibly Tilliman and Mays, makes the future look so much brighter. Some will say that I'm wearing "Orange" colored glasses, but there's so much to be optimist about. Can't wait for the bowl, spring practice, and next season. Let's roll.

I'm not so worried about ILB. Beasley/Banks both back and apparently the team has been working Marley there (he played Safety in HS), has good size for it at 6'3" and about 200lbs.

Not to mention Mohan is a RS Fr. and ya also got Willis as a Fr. If BJM can do with Marley what he's done with Beasley/Banks then it'll be a very impressive group next year. Especially if Mitchell returns. Not to mention there are a LOT of top ILB guys in the portal right now.

Cameron Williams
Mohamoud Diabate
Raymond Scott
Eugene Asante
Branden Jennings
Terrence Lewis
Navonteque Strong

Just to name a few in the portal
