Gus would have won that bowl game today, I'm confident saying that. Even with the trash QB. He would have at least made adjustments after halftime.

Auburn fans out there haughtily clinging to their outsized expectations, all while watching their football program collapse into self-inflicted ruin under the crushing weight of those expectations

I'd laugh... except I've lived that the last 15 years as a Tennessee fan!

lmao. Apparently, you have no idea when I'm being serious and when I'm not. Or you're somehow mistaking me for a certain ex-poster we cannot name. I said 7-5. We went 7-5. I'm not disappointed in this season at all.
Hell you was whining your ass off just before signing day. I am not whining about our future, I happy where we are headed, but I am not so blind that I can't see potential pitfalls...and chief among those are rampant expectations and the corrosive atmosphere not living up to unreasonable expectations brings.

I guarantee you right now we have a ton of idiots that are dead set on 10 wins next year because Hendo and Tillman are back, and they are going to be pulling out pitchforks and torches if we "only" win 7-8..

I will be glad to be wrong.

Bama and Georgia are chalked up as a loss every year until we get close to their level of talent. Their rosters are elite and their coaches are elite. Not going to just out scheme them. I’d like to say we beat Florida but I’m not going to until we prove we can do it. Anytime a program beats you 17 out of 18 years or whatever it is you can’t assume that’s going to be a win. We’re better than Missouri, South Carolina and Vanderbilt. We’re probably on par with Kentucky. 9 wins is a stretch IMO.
Not much of a stretch based on your line of thinking... I assume from your post that you have Bama, GA & FL as losses & KY as a pick-em If all four end up as losses (which I don't believe they will), we'd be at 8 wins. Given you've listed KY as a toss-up, that's not a big "stretch."

People have forgotten to do their daily positive affirmations.

So our 14 year old cat has not been eating and has been losing weight. We took her the vet and she apparently had a rock hard piece of poo blocking her up. I am glad it is not my job to unobstruct the bowls of kitty cats, but I am glad that there are people in the world that do it. She is very healthy otherwise. Just hope she starts eating again soon.

Aw, so it's realism to always expect the very worst to happen.
It is realism to expect injuries...they always happen.

For one..what is going to happen if Hooker goes down in game 2 or three..are you really going to bank on Milton to get us to 8-9 wins. It would be Heupels greatest coaching job ever to get high production out of that guy. It is realism to say that Milton has never been a good QB and likely never will be.

What happens at OT...or LB...or CB...etc etc etc.?.

Every fanbase has idiots.

If you're referring to my "where's the recruits?" banter, I assumed people knew I was joking. I don't use blue font. I'm being sarcastic 90% of the time because I don't have a stick up my ass. I prefer laughing to "woe is me".

If we don't go 9-3 next year, I won't be screaming to fire the coach. I'm usually one of the last people on the "fire coach" bandwagon.

You will be wrong, so go ahead and be glad.

Having their first losing season since 2012 probably wasn't what the fanbase had in mind when Gus was fired

Meanwhile, Gus beats Florida and has UCF running with some positive momentum
I hate Florida, but that wasn't the real Florida team that we faced back in September.

What if those guys don't get hurt? What happens then? It's also realism to think we'll be okay and not completely fall apart.

I thought this was a recruiting thread. Guess there is not much momentum.

Um, how long have you been around? We talk about most everything here and that's the way we like it. We had a very solid class and a couple of signing day surprises to the good. Not sure what you have been seeing.

Facts. Everyone just thinks they have a cold. Problem solved

I am willing to bet that probably every player that has tested positive for covid that has resulted in a bowl cancelation has had minimal if any symptoms and could have played if the world hadn't removed their brains and replaced them with large balls of fecal matter.

But...but... They could have killed grandma!
