Actually, Hendon Hooker was hospitalized and almost died from the original COVID strain. There was a fear that he may never play again. Not trying to get into a silly COVID debate. Just naming a player that was hospitalized and had serious complications like you asked. This was before the 2020 season at VT. Many believe it's why he didn't perform as well as anticipated part year. There is no doubt this is true. Someone show me the college athlete who has been hospitalized

True he did have myocarditis (inflammation of the heart) It was discovered during his Covid screening (because he had covid). It was never divulged for certain if it was pre-existing or possibly caused by Covid. Look up the video of him having extreme shakes during the game he threw multiple interceptions. I think it was the Wake Forest game. They said he was just cold, but it was very unnatural and almost certainly the result of some post covid issues. This isn't to present an argument for canceling bowl games. It is to point out that athletes aren't completely immune to having some serious issues relating to covid. Particularly if they have an unknown pre-existing condition, that may have otherwise not have caused any issues. I personally know multiple people who have died from covid. I know others that are still living with serious complications as a result of covid. I also know many others that have resumed life just fine post covid. The truth of the matter is that the "specialists" don't know enough and we've been lied to. Even if they do know, we are still being lied to, because this presented another opportunity for those in power to line their pockets.False
They were afraid he had myocarditis and they were going to do an open heart surgery to see if he did which would have ended his career.
But they didn't thankfully
So really it seems like covid hysteria was the reason he was put in that position
Hooker’s myocarditis was likely from covid but several viruses such as the flu can cause similar reactions…. Thankfully, the doctors didn’t overreact and perform an unnecessary surgery on him…. As for Hooker’s melt down…. It wasnt covid related….. he did throw 3 ints against wal but that wasn’t when he had his meltdown…. His meltdown came against Clemson when he couldn’t get his team in and out of the huddle…. He fumbled one snap and was pulled to allow him to calm down…. He went back in with the same issues and fumbled again….. He was pulled back out and the coach tried to put him back in when he refused and the staff said he was cold… he was seen shivering on the sideline…. He played 7 games post recovery from covid including the one before it where he threw for 268 yards and ran for almost 60.True he did have myocarditis (inflammation of the heart) It was discovered during his Covid screening (because he had covid). - Callahan* Nicholaus Iamaleava and another five-star, Dante Moore of Detroit, have been two of the top names on Tennessee's Class of 2023 QB board for months. A few highly ranked four-stars — including Jackson Arnold of Denton, Texas, and Avery Johnson of Maize, Kan. — also have shown some interest in the Vols and appear to be in play to varying degrees. Neither of those guys has visited Tennessee to this point, but both have talked about making the trip to Knoxville in January or during the spring. Four-star Christopher Vizzina of Birmingham, Ala., also has an offer from the Vols and attended one of their home games this season.
* In-state QBs Marcel Reed and Chris Parson, a Florida State commitment, also have offers from Tennessee but aren't at the very top of the Vols' board at the moment. I wouldn't say either is likely to end up at Tennessee as of right now, but depending on how things play out with Iamaleava and others, it's always possible that the Vols could make more of a push for one of them.
* To be honest, right now I would say Iamaleava is one of Tennessee's most realistic options among those high-priority QB targets. The Vols appear to be one of the top contenders for him at the moment, so while it's going to be a real battle for him, I think they have a legitimate shot. He's planning to visit them again in the spring.
I have a dolphins helmet with John Offerdahls signature lol. Found it at a thrift storeYeah I grew up a Dolphins fan. My mom still is. She used to collect football cards and she'd send me to school to trade her cards for Dan Marino cards. Think we had over 300 different Marino cards at one time. Still got his rookie card.
Has the ronis in August. Smell and taste is still off. It's mostly back but chocolate and peanut butter taste disgusting. I can't smell poop (baby or dog is the exposure). Can't smell body odor... I think .. I just remain diligent in deodorant just in case lol.True he did have myocarditis (inflammation of the heart) It was discovered during his Covid screening (because he had covid).
