Even adding Young in the mix isn’t exciting for me anymore. He won’t make a big difference. And they will keep doing this strange rotation

Just an example of a good QB…. We don’t have a proven QB right now.
Brady was not that good of a college QB. Pro QB is a different story. Milton will never be good at either it’s just not in the cards for him. No awareness or touch is a downfall.

He's been hyperventilating all night. We're def. capable of a bowl but this team now has a smaller window.
I think Pitt is better than some people gave them credit for. UK Vandy USC Mizzou Ole Miss are definitely winnable, though UK looks better than I thought and Ole Miss will be good.

I wasn’t talking about Bailey specifically…. Just stating that we don’t have an established/good QB on campus right now and we have to work with what we got.

What should have happened? It was a live ball! The ball was never going back to the 38 unless Theo got tackled at that spot. Period. So, that leaves you with what?

My scenario.

Now what you got? The refs should have taken us half the distance to the goal and then tacked on 15 yards for Pitt’s penalty, leaving us at our own 20? You’re pretty much out of options at this point.

Also, name calling is a very public way of admitting you can’t defend your argument.

I didn't call you a name. I made an observation based on your comment that I needed to "back up and punt" because I disagreed with you. If everyone that disagrees with you needs to back up and punt, you might well be a jerk. Maybe not, but not an unreasonable conclusion to draw.

First, their penalty wasn't a 15 yarder.

Second, agree that it's a live ball, but my point is that a team whose possession has ended cannot regain possession by way of offsetting penalties after their possession has ended. If the kick is blocked and after the block there are offsetting personal fouls, they don't get to re-kick. If there is an interception and there are flags on the return, the offense never gets the ball back, no matter what. This is no different.

Worst case scenario the ball is dead at the spot of the first foul. I can see then stepping off both penalties as you said. That is sorta consistent with all the other rules of football. But what they did is not. You cannot undo a change of possession b/c of penalties that took place after it happened.
