According to 247 Scholarship Distribution: Tennessee 2022 Football ScholarshipDistribution

3 QBs
6 RBs
14 WRs
5 TEs
12 OTs
7 IOL

47 total on offense

6 Edge
14 DL
8 LB
9 CB
8 S
1 P
1 K
1 LS

48 total on defense/special teams

That's with incoming class counted and not removing players entering draft, graduating, or recent to portal (Marley for example)

So 95 total...I'm sure we're losing more than 10 though to draft/graduation and then may see some git shirts/transfers once this class is set or after this spring semester.
That list doesn't include any transfer players-----we will have some transfer players

You pay the taxes now versus later.
Decent for some. But, if you do a real differential analysis, especially for many middle and "lower" earners, traditional crushes. Due to where the actual distribution is taxed during retirement vs the marginal bracket while working. For many at a lower bracket, relying 50%+ on SS funds during retirement, their traditional RMD will fall into a lower bracket.

The rest is predicting the future. But that is why many tax diverify and put eggs in each basket.

Or just shove it into BTC and retire early 🤣

Is it not weird Harrison Bailey has yet to transfer anywhere? His Market value not what he expected?
There's a bunch of guys in the portal that just gave up their scholarship and may never get decent chance at another one------the portal is basically for the top-rated players with a proven track record

OK, need to join your company. As a contractor, my company doesn't match.
Are you considered self-employed? Though you won't be matched, you have a decent situation with the current Qualified Business Income Deduction and can shove a ton into a SEP-IRA. My wife was able to put well more than her old IRA amount (6,000 iirc) once I set her up on a SEP. Then there were the PPP "loans", which were major windfalls for contractors/self-employed and who knows, a third round may come.

But, yeah, tough to beat those employer benefits...on the upside most millionaires are/were self employed or contracted work so there's that. You can reap all the net income you can create or your contracts will allow out there.

Best advice on any career choice is do some research. You can look at all the labor statistics for free these days. See what the positions pay, how many people exist in the field, best locations to work for the field, growth estimates etc.

I think I'd also advise HS kids (especially in smaller areas) to do some vocational courses while in school. Cause I promise you most colleges don't look down on you taking welding instead of an elective for another history class.

This country is in desperate need of plumbers, electricians, welders, RN’s, x-Ray techs, respiratory therapists, etc. All of these have very good earning potential and there are always jobs available.

It annoys me a great deal that we play them when they’re at their peak and next year - when Kentucky plays them, they’ll be in complete rebuild.

We’ll be fighting Kentucky for 2nd in the East next year so this is BS.

It was a bad crew. Either in ability or ethics. Just hard to know which when they’ve already previously been suspended for botching the end of game (I believe they were the same crew from the Duke/Miami kick return fiasco, may be wrong).
I agree with bad ethics, but not ability. Those guys were bent.
