Y’all think Hooker has a big game problem? Struggled against Florida. Struggled early against Ole Miss. was awful against Ga. Game sealing interception against Bama. Struggled in the bowl game too.
This is why I posted a while back that I'm glad he is coming back but hope someone else beats him out.

I hope the coaches actually allow someone the opportunity to beat him out. But I worry they will feel obligated to ride him out because we can win 8 games with him and he is coming back his final year when he could have gone to the NFL.

Or the officials will throw flags , converse, state there was no foul on the play , and pick it up.
One official should take it on himself to throw flags for delay of game and unsportsmanlike conduct, then a personal foul flag on the coach for b!tching. Just do it.

For our sake, hope that’s not true. That’s the loser mentality that got our previous coaches booted. Meanwhile Saban will pull his starting, heisman candidate, QB in the national championship game

Dude what

I don't care at all about if a coach at any level wants to play to win. As long as they have a bit of sportsmanship. And that to me means playing the back-ups when you have a game in hand. Absolutely keep calling the plays the same way, if you typically pass then continue to do so. If you normally go for it on 4th and short keep doing it. But let the rest of your team get a chance to play is all.

"We won by 60, but everyone on the team played meaningful minutes." is a different mood than "We won by 80 and I let my starting QB get over 600 yards."
I agree with this. IT never said he didn't put the backups in. Its the job of the other team to stop them. Its not his job to try and not score.

They didn’t recruit Hooker. They did Milton, and gave him all the chances, but he sucked it up and they pulled him. Heupel knows what he has. Don’t think he’ll feel obligated. Also … love him, but he probably knows he’s no NFL QB. Probably not even a decent backup. And T. Jackson ran the ancient veer, lol, he isn’t earning the job Year 1.

As far as the GA gsme, it's worth remembering that the SEC refs had a policy of permitting an intentional (Kirby scripted) head shot on HH on the first play of the game. In addition to the blow, the primary effect of the no call -- directly in front of a ref and clear on video -- was the unambiguous statement that concussing #5 was permitted the whole game. And that no GA players would be cited, much less expelled, for dirty football.
