Shouldve never been suspended. Sports teach valuable life lessons and they f'd this one up bad, telling them "oh, you poor baby. They shouldn't have done that to you".

Life isn't fair. People are gonna punch you in the mouth and make you look stupid if they can. Not everyone in the world is nice and forgiving. You have to work harder and get better at whatever you do. They should've been able to learn that lesson from this beat down. Instead, they were robbed of it, sheltered, and told, "it's ok, everything is gonna be alright." More pansies in the making.

1) NFL teams are allowed to pay players. 2) what do you think tickets and $15 beer revenue (shoot, even your TV bill) goes toward? You ARE paying for the players.

And what are university donors doing but giving to support the program and hopefully improve it (with some inventives along the way)? And bagmen? Even more direct. Obviously you don't have to donate any more than you had to donate to bagmen under the old system or donate to the university for better facilities.

Let me pay the players, hire the landscaping company, train the concession stand staff, take the trash out, and then sit down to watch the team I don't own and don't stand to make any revenue from at all. For.... What? So I can tell my buddies I paid for that win at the end of the game?

My point with that comparison is how silly it would be if the NFL teams just deferred the cost of paying the players directly on the fans. "Hey fans, pool your money and sign our entire roster. After that, we'll be taking those ticket sales and TV money. Thanks".

Yeah. No thanks. People can do whatever they want with their money. If buying a championship makes big donors feel good about themselves, great. I think it makes them chumps and I find the whole thing uninspiring and pointless. What do I care which university has the best combination of dumb rich alumni?

I don't care at all about if a coach at any level wants to play to win. As long as they have a bit of sportsmanship. And that to me means playing the back-ups when you have a game in hand. Absolutely keep calling the plays the same way, if you typically pass then continue to do so. If you normally go for it on 4th and short keep doing it. But let the rest of your team get a chance to play is all.

"We won by 60, but everyone on the team played meaningful minutes." is a different mood than "We won by 80 and I let my starting QB get over 600 yards."

Remember how Kirby kept his first string D in the final minutes of our game and ran a different exotic blitz each snap.

Absolutely continue to support. And, I get it is helping the players. But we are basically buying them. I am all about deals for kids who are already committed and I know that is how it has always worked. The elite players cost money. I get it. Does not mean that I like it. I will continue to attend games and may buy season tickets this year. Just not going to give more to the NIL.

I was pretty much done the year before when the terrified idiot tried to run the clock out against Okla beginning with about 10 minutes remaining in the 3rd quarter, and then did the same thing against Florida a couple weeks later. Two blow-out wins converted to last minute losses because absolute terrified puss.
